A beautiful place, very peaceful to stay a while for a conference. We come here every year for a three day conference. Excellent space that we can use in the way we want. Always lovely and warm with a wonderful menu.

This was the proverbial curate's egg; good in parts. The good bits are the quietness, from its location deep in the countryside; and the attractiveness of the medieval buildings. The food also scores well, for being home-cooked, tasty and generous in portions. However, I had imagined in advance I was coming to a hotel, rather than the retreat centre it... More

Thank you for taking the time to give us your feed back. I am delighted that you enjoyed our wonderful home cooked food together with our beautiful surroundings. I was extremely surprised that you were expecting a Hotel. We have been operating as a Quaker Conference and Retreat Centre for the past 40 years. So unfortunately, we would have never... More

Lovely setting, came here on a course for work, bedrooms are perfect for a short stay, clean and welcoming. The food is absolutely amazing, massive credit to the chef, and other kitchen staff, the meals we had were lovely. Huge range for breakfast. Local pub very welcoming only a five minute walk. Take a torch though, no lighting. Beautiful welcoming place... More

lovely tranquil setting, great food. I was on a course so it was great to be able to sit in the garden during breaks. In the evening the local pub is very welcoming and within walking distance so a torch is a must. would love to go back as a B&B guest to explore Oxford nearby.

I have just returned from a 2 night Quaker weekend at Charney Manor. The house and grounds are beautiful. A very special atmosphere surrounds it all. The room I stayed in was basic but had everything I needed. The food was excellent. All staff I met were very friendly and helpful. I didn't want to leave.

I arranged a Christian conference at Charney Manor for up to 10 people (our numbers fluctuated) spread over three days. As a peaceful location it is unbeatable. It dates back to Norman times and although bits of land have obviously been sold off in more recent times, there are still delightful gardens. The guest rooms are spread across the main... More

Went away with work yesterday for an away day and night here. Not my first time at Charney but my first time to spend a night. One of the hottest days this year in the UK and therefore perfect for enjoying the gorgeous grounds. Playing cricket out on the lawn in front of the manor house was wonderful (although admittedly... Visited Charney Manor in July for a yoga retreat. This is my second visit and it just gets better every time.It is so beautiful there and the staff are lovely. Food and accommodation very good, but it is the setting that really is so peaceful and at the same time invigorating.
