Lovely room, spotless and comfortable - a home away from home - the staff are welcoming and breakfast was made to order! There are romantic rooms too! Telephone to book. Lovely bar downstairs. There are lots of stairs as this is a very old building. But highly recommend. Brilliant value for money

Stayed for two nights for wedding nearby.Good Location in the centre of Thame.Staff were pleasant and helpful. Room was small but very clean. Breakfast was great and is cooked to order so very fresh.Bit of an 80's disco in the bar on the Friday night which was a good craic! for us of that vintage.Lovely building with lots of character.

Got a Living Social Deal on this hotel but would have been happy to pay full price. It's a wonderful old building tastefully modernised the Charles first room very well decorated comfortable well a fantastic shower. The breakfast is superb and the dinner menu very good food very tasty and reasonably priced. If your in Thame it's a great place... More

This is a nice welcoming hotel once we found where to checkin as no obvious door signs. That was the only negative part of what was a very enjoyable stay. People have mentioned rooms small but its what was expected from an ancient establishment. The Cromwell room was well furnished, clean and just what I expected. The breakfast (both days)... More

It was the menu on the wall outside that caught my attention. A great welcome as soon as we entered from everyone. We ordered lunch of the steak sandwich and a BLT. Excellent value and for money and I must say that was the best lunch we have had for a long time, piping hot and the plate was certainly... More

We had a two night stay at this hotel, to be honest I would have been extremely disappointed if I had paid full price for this hotel. But we got this a special offer deal. The bedroom was extremely small, measuring approx 7ft x 8ft, nothing more than a single room really, which a had a double bed in. The... More

Can only agree with a previous review on this one. Stayed in the Nelson room, which was comfortable, clean, tea/coffee, etc, - but tiny. Okay for one night, but no longer. Excellent location in the centre of a very pleasant town. Plenty of places to eat and drink and good range of shops. Freshly cooked breakfast - get your own... More

stayed for a weekend on a "living social" deal. We were greeted by the very nice landlord & enjoyed a welcome drink with the friendly locals. Our room "the nelson suite" was the tiniest bedroom I have ever slept in, there was just enough room to manoeuvre around the 4ft bed, one at a time, with absolutely no chance of... More

Stayed on a one night deal with breakfast and free drink each. Room bit on the small side ( Charles 1 ) but decorated well and very clean. Staff very friendly. Breakfast cooked fresh. No food served in the evening but plenty of paces to eat nearby.

Maybe the noisiest hotel I've ever stayed in! Room was small and old fashioned (maybe not surprising--the building is 14 or 15 century), and cold on a terrible mid-June day. We were not warned of a 'disco night' when we booked. The music went on--very loudly--until after midnight, and then the revellers continued in the courtyard underneath our room for... More
