This is a real gem hidden in the Cotswolds! Delightful rooms and delicious home cooked food combined with superb service made this an exceptional weekend away. Special touches, home made biscuits in the rooms along with a coffee machine as well as kettle. Jersey milk on the breakfast table, great fruit bowl and then home made drop scones before the... We have just returned from a stay here and it was absolutely great I couldn't fault it. We stayed in one or the refurbished rooms outside which was lovely.....I want to buy the pillows for our bed at home they were so gorgeous! We ate in the restaurant on Friday night and the food was superb. The bar staff and... More

We would have no hesitation in returning when the budget allows. I dislike the word "gastropub" but use it here to make the point that this is a small country pub with a handful of rooms, not a 5-star city hotel with facilities to match. We occupied the recently upgraded room 6, entered from an external staircase. It was very... More

The pub it situated in a lovely village. We payed an afternoon visit and so chose to eat in the bar where we could choose from a varied selection of bar meals. The ploughman was a great choice. However, within our group of 6 we managed to choose most of the dishes off the menu all of which were delightful.... More

We picked this as it was dog friendly, the place was quite small but it was fine as it wasn't that busy, typical English pub with a bit of character, the food was excellent, all our party were delighted with their menu choices, service was really good as well. Puddings were fantastic you must have one

Made a special effort to get to this pub for lunch so very disappointed that the food was so bad. Had a sausage roll that was flaccid and greasy with thick soggy pastry and little meat. No mains salads so had a very dull side salad which was full of salt for some reason. Took three attempts to get a... More

Stayed with my wife one night for her birthday. Room was really comfortable, staff were very friendly and attentive and the whole experience was positive. The cost of dinner was very reasonable and the meal most enjoyable. Breakfast was also memorable, with fresh bread from the oven and drop scones that melted in the mouth. We can definitely recommend staying... More

Saw Emily Watkins (Chef Proprietor) on The Great British Menu so thought we'd give her place a try. Our room was in an annex (bedroom 7) and was OK but nothing special. Fairly small, simply furnished and with a very small bathroom. It was very clean and comfortable through and perfectly OK for the two nights we stayed. Breakfast was... More

Stopped here for a bit to eat, whilst staying at a B&B down the road. A great place if you want ultra-local fresh ingredients (the Rabbit was claimed to have been shot within 20km and was noted that it may still contain shot!). Food was carefully prepared and the mini-pub in the entranceway looked like a great place for a... More
