We stayed recently as our 1st anniversary & our friends wedding combined. We had an idilic time and hope to return. The food was really excellent, if you were staying somewhere else it would still be worth the drive to eat here. Breakfast had an excellent selection and service, sausages were amasing! At times I thought that perhaps the staff... More

We recently visited The Mill House Hotel and Restaurant for a wedding reception. We were very impressed throughout. The staff were very helpful and the bar was actually rather cheap!! The grounds are absolutely stunning, perfect for pictures for any occasion!! Although we live over an hour away, we are definitely considering staying here and having a nice meal when... More

First impressions in hotel were not encouraging. The young receptionist had no knowledge of the "i" newspaper and said that it was not available! TV in the room was very small and could not receive various channels - like ITV3, Drama and other channels listed in the room information book. There was also a background hum of running water -... Oh dear - popped in for a tea and coffee, partner in crime wanted something to eat - we have chocolate biscuits, err something savoury - cheesy crisps? do you have a bar menu - oh yes - a Caesar club please - well - it would have been useful if it had been cut - especially as it stood... More

Since the Mill House passed in to new ownership and the tremendous improvements to the facilities became evident, I have been meeting business contacts there for lunches an a pretty regular basis. The surroundings impress, as does the food and friendly and professional service. Some good business has been done over some very good food and wine. My thanks to... More

My husband and I spent the weekend between 22-23rd August as an escape from recent health issues and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and felt completely "spoilt" with the exceptional food, service and quality of the premises. The attention to detail is commendable with the delicious cookies in the room and plenty of milk so you didn't feel you had... More

On 17-Aug. we celebrated our Ruby Wedding Anniversary at this lovely hotel with Sunday Lunch and Afternoon Tea for 34 people. Throughout the day, the organisation, food and service were outstanding. Paul, Maria and the staff were always friendly and helpful. It was raining in the morning so pre-dinner drinks had been set up in the lounge area but, as... More

Today I got ejected from this establishment - along with a local colleague who was (I hope) just as sober as me! Our offence wasn't even one of the many traditional rustic countryside misdemeanours one could brag about in the morning. It is far duller than that - involving laptops, free WIFI and insufficient cumulative spend on cups of tea... More

I am sorry you felt offended when asked not to hold a meeting with clients in our bar/lounge on Tuesday evening just before the start of our dinner service. We do try and save tables in our lounge for our residents during the evening for pre dinner drinks, likewise we reserve tables in our bar for guests who have booked... More

Well, I have been in business for 30+ years and running my own company for 15 of those. I've held meetings in many hotels, pubs and restaurants around the country and world. It's a pretty usual thing to do in my opinion and usually welcomed by most establishments. I live and work close to Kingham and have used the hotel... More
