we only stopped for one evening but the welcome was most friendly , there was free parking to the rear, and our room was very spacious and spotlessly clean. set back from the town we had no noise issues. our room was well appointed by a lovely old court yard. we did not eat there but had breakfast which was... Unfortunately only stayed for 1 night last minute booking for a murder mystery / football do. We had booked a superior room which was absolutely beautiful well decorated with French style furniture to an exceptional standard. Room was over the bar so a little noisy but after a few drinks did not even hear! One thing might be beneficial.... a... More

Such an interesting building , the public areas are cozy , still quite original , quirky. The superior double room had beautiful French style furniture and was big , niceley decorated bathroom. The lady called heather was fantastic , so helpful , couldn't have wished for better , the inn has quite new manager so hoping it will improve as... More

We stayed at the old crown coaching inn for three nights 24th July to 27th July. We are a family of four with two young kids, we was given the court room which is fantastic and huge to go with the big bathroom which has a shower and jacuzzi bath! There are tea & coffee making facilities in the room... More

After a long day of driving we got to Farringdon Old Crown. No reception, but very friendly locals haning out at the basement bar, one turned out to be responsible for check-ins. After a windling way through the groundfloor bar/restaurant, through a sidedoor marked only for emergency, we got to the upper floor where a maze of corridors took us... More

I've just got back from a night staying at the Old Crown. The occasion was an evening with three other mates from uni days (I've known them a long time now!) Our requirements are somewhere comfortable, good value and with decent beer. The Old Crown fitted all of these very well. What I hadn't realised before we got there was... More

Booked in for a post-RIAT visit and was really pleased. Lovely old coaching inn was spotless with pleasing décor. Great nights sleep in a very comfy bed - Room 7 was nice and quiet even with the sash window left open on a lovely summer evening apart from soft chattering of the bird life. Had a decent meal in the... More

Stayed for one night to attend a wedding in the area. Heather and team very welcoming, friendly and couldn't have been more accomodating. Really lovely large double clean spacious room (called Naseby), located off the courtyard at the back of the hotel on the ground floor. Very large bed, nice bathroom with shower. Was very quiet - but I was... More
