If looking for somewhere to stay in Farringdon, you don't have a huge number of choices, but you can't go far wrong with the Bell Hotel.

It is better than average pub accomodation, clean rooms with a bit of charactor - low beams and odd shaped rooms.

You either get a shower or bath, so if you have a preference, request up front.

It is a great location for Faringdon, situated overlooking the main square and Farringdon has a large number of pubs and even a reasonable number of live music events for such a small village.

The food is good, freshly cooked breakfasts and during the day they serve a reasonable selection of bar food from sandwiches to fish n' chips.

Downsides are the front rooms witha view of the square can get noisy at closing time and the rooms are as luxourious as some hotels.

And there is only a small car park (for 4 to 5 cars) although there is a public car park just round the back. more
