I've stayed here several times and I love it. Well situated in the middle of Abingdon with good car parking and easy access to Oxford. Rooms are all a little different and very well furnished if a little dark. The attached pub provides drink and the restaurant serves excellent food as well as a great selection of inclusive breakfasts. Would... More

We arrived quite late but the staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming. We had a delicious dinner served in the cobbled courtyard. The room is on a very noisy road, but there is good secondary glazing and thick curtains to block out noise and light, good & quiet air con was useful too. The room was great, comfy bed, great... Refurbished in 2013, this hotel is small but packs a huge punch ! Combines the historic building with its beams and character with modern elegance and style. Our room (3) wasn't large but very comfortable with a 4poster bed and loads of cushions. The green decor was quite dark but relaxing. Staff very friendly and pleasant in both the hotel... More

We were dining quite early (1845 booking) and there was a party of three elderly people on table close by who complained about everything. We, on the other hand, had a delicious dinner and, although the service was pretty slow, the staff was all very pleasant and attentive when they did come over. The Complainers flounced out after one mouthful... More

This is a genuine Old Coaching In, not a modern imitation which claims to be one. And just a genuine stone's throw from the River Thames. The original cobbled entrance still exists but this is now pedestrianised and cars have to approach from the back of the Inn - not too easy to find. But once there it is just... More

This was a re arranged trip as the Hotel had made a mistake with the original date. We had a generous offer to compensate for the mistake. The Hotel is nicely positioned in the centre of Abingdon and is close to the Thames. Our room was very comfortable and a decent size. A cafetiere and good coffee and tea was... More

I turned up at this hotel & restaurant twice once on Thursday 9th July and also on Sunday 12th July, On the Thursday I went to the hotel reception hoping to book a room, there was a sign saying please ring if no one was there, which I did and the number rang out, I chased up people to answer... We spent just one night in Abingdon. We had a very comfortable night. The room was well decorated and had a good ensuite shower room. The restaurant and bar looked good but we were out for the evening. We did however have a really good full English breakfast with very pleasant service.
