Booked 2 rooms for overnight stay. We arrived after 4pm, the reception was closed but there is a telephone situated outside the reception and we were shown to our rooms within 10 minutes. The rooms were well equipped and clean, toiletries supplied and lovely thick towels in the bathroom. We were in the area for a family party and choose... More

We stayed here in August/ September 2014 as we had moved from overseas and were very disappointed. The apartment we stayed in was very small and we hardly managed to get 2 adults and 2 kids around the dining table. We also found the place to be rather dusty and dirty and the cleaning that was supposed to be included... More

Stayed in Stable Cottage for 4 nights in April. Staff friendly and helpful and ensured our cottage was ready for us when we arrived early. Quiet location and well situated for Abingdon and walking Thames Path. Cottage was very clean and quite spacious for four people. Well equipped kitchen (lots of plates, glasses etc) but overall equipment rather lacklustre and... More

Mixed review because the Stable is probably next in line for upgrading in lounge furniture/chairs, beds, cutlery, which would make it 4 star. It is in a good rural location but only a short walk into Abingdon, the barns are well equipped and clean/comfortable, the small swimming pool is a good depth and a good bonus. The courtyard feature is... More

We stayed for two nights on B & B accommodation whilst visiting friends in Abingdon. The cottages look quite pretty with courtyard setting. They are set some distance from the road and it was 'pitch black' coming back at night with no lighting along the road. We have never slept in such an uncomfortable bed. The room was basic and... Had 2 nights here some time ago. Sheets were sprayed with perfume, upset my chest. Staff woke you up at 7am whistling and slamming doors. Pool was unavailable. Rip off! Emailed concerns to them and never heard back. I hope they've improved things. Shame as it looked the perfect location for a bus trip into Oxford. After 2 sleepless nights... More

It's quirky and the rooms are like converted stable type thingies. There's a pool and also places to sit outside and chill. Breakfast is served in a barn thingy again is was lovely, as was the lady serving it. I'm sure there's lots more to do but as a business overnight stop, it ticked the boxes for get in, clean,... A good hostelry needs to have the basics right: first and foremost a comfortable bed, also a clean and quiet room, finally a decent breakfast. Well the breakfast was ok, but nothing else was right. You'd expect a place in the middle of fields to be quiet, but the walls between rooms were so flimsy you could hear your neighbours... More

3.5 stars! We were attending an early wedding ceremony in Abingdon & having informed of our early arrival, delightfully the room was ready for us! We had one of the chalet style rooms which was average sized but with a newly replaced and very clean bathroom. Extra touches like a mini fridge were welcome. The rooms could do with a... More

2 day stay here for the weekend in Abingdon. Room was well equipped and cosy. Breakfast was beautiful and it was very good value. Only point is to please get some lights down the main drive way so we can see where we're going in the dark as we were on foot. Would definitely go back. Thank you!
