I stayed here for one night the weekend just gone and wasn't blown away by what was on offer. The hotel itself is very dated, the rooms especially. That being said, the bedroom itself was very clean. The Bathroom was a let down, however. The shower rail was rusted, floor tiles were missing the grouting and the extractor fan was... More

We stayed for one night just me and the misses. It's about 5 minutes walk to Abingdon. Plenty of shops pubs and restaurants near by. The room was large and clean and the bed was lovely, big and comfy. The bathroom was nice and the soak in it was bliss. The staff were really helpful and friendly and nothing was to... More

We've stayed here twice so it can't be too bad but..... It's quite expensive for a budget hotel feel. I don't think it's any more comfortable than a Premier Inn yet they charged us over a hundred pounds. The rooms and interconnecting spaces are pretty dated but the bar/reception/breakfast rooms are fairly new looking. The bathrooms we've had have been... More

Okay - ignore the fact it has Oxford in it's title. It's a misnomer & is frankly ridiculous. It is extremely handy for A34 - literally 2 mins drive from the Marcham Interchange. There is a massive Tesco with a Giraffe a 30 second drive along the same road into the hotel. There's an ESSO garage on other side of... More

This hotel is typical of a lot of British hotels that need investment. It is clean and tidy but everything is worn and dated. The bedrooms are dark with poor lighting. You cannot open the windows because of the road noise. They are only singled glazed so do not stop the traffic noise, which is constant. The near bye petrol... More

The hotel was particularly noisy (from traffic on road nearby). I thought the windows were open. Because there was no aircon, fan or moving fresh air, I accepted this as the price to pay. Later found the windows were closed which made the noise excessive. No wifi in room even though advertised on website. In the room they claim partial... More

Clean and tidy hotel but dated and very worn, plumbing is noisy and water dooes not run properly in the bathtub. The hotel is walking distance to the town center and various headquarters companies. The staff was very friendly and helpful, food was OK, especially for breakfast.

Don't be fooled by the name. Despite the fact that the hotel calls itself 'Oxford', the hotel is not in Oxford, it is in Abingdon - a 20 minute drive from Oxford. We were in Abingdon for a wedding, and this was the only hotel left that wasn't completely booked. The hotel isn't even close to the centre of Abingdon,... More

We did not in fact spend very long here - checked in, went to a party elsewhere, came back late and went to breakfast. So we can only comment on the breakfast, though in fact the room and communal areas were clean and well kept. The hotel was fully booked and as breakfast was included in the price, and the... More

Nice clean and tidy hotel in pleasant setting, easy walking distance to town centre. Friendly and helpful staff. Our room was on the ground floor and in need of a bit of an update. Comfortable bed, 2 armchairs and small table. Tea and Coffee making facilities including biscuits. Toiletries provided but no hairdryer in room. We were there over a... More
