If you want a Christmas Party that combines good food with a dance then this is the place to go. Very efficient service, reasonably priced and all in a magnificent river-side venue. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Stayed here for a week whilst working in the area. I was allocated a room in the stable block which is a bit cold and relatively small single room. Place is a bit dated but with a modern touch, could be a class place. Food is brilliant, as is Humphrey, the manager, brilliant fella who sorted out my room heating... More

The Cosener’s House is a lovely hotel with restaurant and conference rooms in the beautiful setting of the Abbey Park in Abingdon. The house has a gorgeous garden right on the Thames and it is walking distance from the town center. The location is perfect for a relaxing stay. The rooms are nice and comfortable. Excellent breakfast, free wifi and... More

I stayed here at the weekend with my dad to attend a function with my work and after much searching I found Cosener's House and as I stay regularly with work I am glad I have as it will now become a regular haunt. The room was very comfortable but we did have a heating issue when we arrived and... More

Looking at other reviews it would seem the rooms vary considerably. Our room was fine, not particularly large, plain decor but quite adequate for an overnight stay. Initially we were given a room in the main house but my husband had had an operation since we had booked and they were able to find us a room in the main... More

I traveled in the month of October 2015 and stayed at Coseners house for 6 days. I found this place with a great professionalism, neat and clean rooms, good breakfast and excellent surroundings. My recommendation: Worth to stay.

Very nice and friendly stasff and we had gone up for a bithday party and the food they put on was really nice and they worked very hard to top up the food. It... More

We stayed at The Cosener's House overnight while we were attending a nearby wedding. The staff were very helpful whenever I called them (we had planned to bring our two small children with us but changed our minds shortly before the weekend we were staying). We were allocated a large room in the new block as we had thought we... More

Having found the place after the sat nav took us to a car park, we were greeted by an extremely pleasant young receptionist. She took our details and explained we were in the new build. No problem. The new build looks more like university accommodation but the price was right. The room was adequate but the TV was not functioning... More

I go to Abingdon for business regularly, but this is my first time in this hotel and conference center that is owned by the UK Science & Technology Facilities Council. The hotel is located by the Thames, a 2-minute walk from town center, but tucked way. Although one cannot book online, booking is simple with a phone call or email.... More
