I stayed here for two weeks with work as part of a group. Having read the reviews I wasn't expecting good things but on getting there i was pleasently surprised. My room was really spacious and although the shower room was very very small and the bed single, it was comfy and good enough for me. The food was brilliant,... More

This is a curious place. Its virtually a secret! The hotel belongs to the government albeit rather remotely. Its belongs to the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory. It has no website, its hard to find (no signs) and it is difficult to book. It is however really pretty good. The rooms are simple but clean and tidy. We were in a big... More

We have just celebrated our Son and daughter-in-laws wedding at Cosener's House. It was perfect. We were all so well cared for from the moment we arrived. The food was excellent, the presentation and taste just wonderful. Family and friends stayed in rooms overnight which were lovely and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The gardens, house and function rooms make you... More

We have just had our wedding here and we cannot find fault in anything. From the moment we arrived we were incredibly well looked after, nothing was too much trouble. The setting is beautiful and the food was outstanding. All this and far less expensive than any of the other local venues (including Steventon House hotel). We would highly recommend... More

We have just returned from a lovely wedding celebration at Coseners. Staff were extremely welcoming and friendly and the food exceeded all expectations. The wedding lunch was so good that we barely managed to taste the evening food even though it looked just as delicious. Rooms were comfortable and well equipped and the breakfast was delightful. A really fantastic way... More

As we have family in Abingdon we stayed here for two nights. The building is a mix of old and new, well decorated and clean. Good, attentive staff, especially at breakfast, easy parking, close to town centre, food was good, nice conservatory to sit in for meals, with views of river,we would stay here again.

I stayed here for eight weeks in total with work over two four week periods. The rooms are tiny and never get cleaned properly. The food was disgusting and served on plates that were hotter than the sun! Only two choices of evening meals and desserts a lot of the time they had ran out of what I had ordered.... More

Often i spend meetings in dull meeting rooms often in not to exciting university buildings. This building is tucked away in Abingdon among some beatiful buildings. The food served during lunch was very high quality making it a great meeting.
