Rooms were large and clean. It's location means you can hear the occasional trains and cars. Reasonable value, but it's main selling point is location. Apart from the restaurant on site, there is a very good pub in the local village (need to drive to it) called the Ferry.

The hotel is right by the A1 and the main line railway and so there is quite a bit of external noise. I didn't notice any when in the room and doors/windows shut. The rooms is large with all you need. Although the windows have a black out the external door has a fanlight window which lets in the day... More

We arrived after the allotted check in time to fine doors locked and no one around. When we were finally seen they had no knowledge of our booking (we had gone through booking.com) We paid for a family room and only got a double, when I asked of breakfast was included in the price I was told there were tea... This is the second time we have visited this Indian Restaurant and it did not disappoint. The staff take their time to make sure you know what you are ordering and give you suggestions if in any doubt. The service is first class and the ambience a delight, plus the food is delicious Highly recommend it.

After a very luke warm welcome, I left my bag in my room and noticed it didn't smell too good but thought I'd open the windows when I got back later. On returning to the room after my evening out, it dawned on me just how filthy and smelly the room was. It was rank, the smell was a mixture... More

This "hotel" was disgusting. Staff were seemingly unaware of our booking and only offered a double room not the family room we booked. On entry, the room stank of mould and damp, the carpet was filthy (and not vacuumed) and there was litter in the wardrobe and desk drawer. One of the plug sockets was dangerously damaged (see pic). The... More

We booked the room for a night to attend a friends wedding, however when we arrived, they told us that they had double booked our room and that they would take us to alternate accomodation. We had to get back into our vehicle and follow a member of their staff, we arrived at a travel lodge. If we had wanted... More

By far the best Indian restaurant in the area with a great looking and well decorated bar, Comfortable and relaxed waiting area and large restaurant with a huge chandelier over the main central table. We've been eating here now weekly for the past couple of years and each time the food and service is amazing, All the guy's that work... More
