Good stay, access to hotel would be vastly improved by a sign, 3 rd attempt found the hotel carpark. Not the back road to travellers car park, Not the slip toad to the A1 (6miles up A1 and 6 miles back down) But the slip road, OFF the slip road to the A1. No signs for hotel, only a services... More

The location of this hotel was very convenient. The staff were helpful and provided a discount voucher for the Little Chef restaurant next door. I found it slightly odd that the entrance to the services area was half way down the Northbound on-ramp to the A1 but the directions were excellent. The signage was a little poor as it was... More

Found it necessary to make an overnight stay on a long journey. Booked in at Markham Moor travelodge, conveniently placed on the A1 with a Little Chef and Subway on site. The double room was large, light and welcoming. It was very attractively decorated and had a beautiful king size bed with crisp white duvet and pillows. The toilet and... More

Lovely Travelodge just far enough away from too much motorway traffic noise. Very clean both inside and out. The room was very comfortable as they have just been updated. There was myself, husband and son we also took our dog, who was also made very welcome. Next door to the Travelodge is a Subway and also a Little Chef.

A welcoming and pleasant stopover. Slightly awkward approach off the twin roundabouts in the dark (ended up in the truck stop first!) but the welcome made up for it. Able to dine at the Little Chef adjacent. Wi-fi access poor on the evening of arrival but ok the next morning. Well located for reaching a variety of places.

Handy for overnighter by A1 - clean, comfortable, welcoming staff - but if you have a room at back expect your sleep ( if you manage to get to sleep) to be interrupted every time you doze off by 40 ton lorries pulling out of the service area, revving up, crashing through gears just feet from your bedroom throughout the... I had two rooms booked here last Friday night as the location, and of course price, was most convenient to me. It's a while since I'd stayed at a Travelodge so I was a little apprehensive but to be fair, whilst it was really basic, it was clean and comfortable which for a no-quibble overnighter, it's the ideal sort of... Family room booked for 4 guests (2 adult/2 children). Super layout with single pull out bed either side of the main bed. Everything you would expect in a hotel room but no air con so room was very stuffy. Opening a window wasn't an option unless you wanted to listen to the motorway traffic which seemed to be continuous. Noise... More

2 night say and couldn't really fault it. Although not the worlds No1 TL fan the rooms looked newly refurbished and very clean. Reception staff very friendly which makes a change. Only negative as rooms super warm and super noisy outside so once you open a window you can't sleep. I would recommend providing fans.
