We stayed here after a day at the Lincoln christmas market,Sat 6 december ( its about a 30 min drive away) We were welcomed warmly and shown into our room which was very clean and cosy. and very warm. We went to pub across the road for dinner which is well worth a visit. The breakfast in the morning was... More

We stayed in this guest house last week and can't praise it enough. All the rooms have names rather than numbers (we stayed in "Westfield") which, like the rest of the house was wonderful. Everywhere was decorated & kept immaculate. Its a really oldye worlde property with many original features such as exposed beams, lots of antiques etc but wonderfully... More

Stayed here for one night recently, and the room was lovely - spotlessly clean, quiet, and all that one could hope for. Breakfast was really nice, and cooked to order. If you like a VERY soft bed, then this would be a 5 'blob' establishment. However, for those of us, who are used to a firmer bed, this caused some... More

We took the Church View room. This is separated from he house and is very quiet and relaxing. We stayed for one night in July. The house and setting are stunning. You are left alone if that's what you want or you can sit an chat with the owner Roberta. The area around the property has some nice gardens with... More

Thank you so much for looking after my mother so well during her 3 day stay. She had a lovely visit, despite being a little unwell. Roberta was exceptionally kind and helpful, and we are very grateful. The house and area are beautiful. She arrived on a sunny evening, and we went for a meal at the Dovecote. The views... More

I stayed here for one night before an interview I had in the area and was pleasantly surprised about how beautiful the house is. I was made to feel extremely welcome, relaxed and safe. The house is extremely clean and the owner pays particular attention to all the finer details. I had everything I needed and more. Breakfast is fantastic... More

We stayed here for a night on the way north, and liked it so much we booked in for a night on the way back. Two things set it apart. First, everything was done perfectly: the bed was comfortable, and everything you might need for the night had been thought about and sorted out, in a way we've never really... More

We arrived at Crosshill House about five hours later than planned due to an incident on our journey. Despite this we were welcomed very warmly by Roberta shown our room and pointed in the direction to the food at the Dovecote Inn. The Dovecote staff were very helpful and although late and kitchen closed we were given food that enabled... More

For a short break and a tour of the sights of Nottinghamshire, Crosshill house is the ideal place to stay. It is not too far along country roads to the main routes of the county and the feeling of being in the country with a lovely view of Laxton village from the window and the car park next to the...
