Had 6 nights( unable to move to another hotel) but on night 1 had a family room with a completely useless bathroom. The shower not working, no hot water to the basin and a saniflow toilet working poorly and gave a disgusting smell. There were no opening windows and was awful. The central heating system kept locking out and was... More

Popped in for lunch. Pub was fairly quiet. It has clearly recently been furbished and is lovely. Food came within a reasonable time . My partners gammon was so generous he couldn't finish it. The staff were friendly and helpful and there is plenty of free parking. Well worth a visit.

First double on top floor room ok but bathroom was a shared one down the corridor and freezing. Second double lovely and warm bit tight on space no wardrobe or cupboard space apart from one bedside drawer and... More

Stayed here after going to a wedding reception nearby - this was the only place available. Room was clean - place was just odd - unusual clientele, cheap mattress with every spring showing- carpet lifted as we walked on it - bathroom door stuck - breakfast ok but dining room very sticky and grubby. Wouldn't stay again even though it... More

Basic but clean room. Usual amenities, nothing outstanding, clean and friendly staff. Somewhere to stay that is cheap. Breakfast was ok, bit greasy for my likes. Very friendly staff and helpful the next morning finding a taxi.

My girlfriend and I booked this hotel spontaneously on a trip up from London to see Sherwood Forest. 45 minutes after we made the reservation we remembered we had a previous engagement at home so would be unable to use the room. We promptly called the hotel and spoke to a woman on the phone, we're assuming it was the... More

Lovely clean ans reasonably sized and priced rooms with in the heart of Robin Hood Country steeped in history as a building and village. Great continental breakfast and plenty of places to eat for lunch and evening meal with a large choice on the menus.

This is an old hotel which has been refurbished, but still retains much of its old world character and grace. With one exception, the rooms are en-suite and all differ slightly, this is a pleasant change from the sameness of the main hotel chains we usually stay in. Our room was on the third floor, no elevator just a very... More
