We stayed here for one night on a journey from Berwick-upon-Tweed down to Surrey. Upon arrival, the man that checked us in didn't appear to have much knowledge about breakfast/check out times or very much else! We were shown to our room, which was clean. However, we were on the side facing the main road. The windows were single glazing... More

We stayed at The Dukeries in Edwinstowe for 2 nights the only problem we had was that we are both OAP's and I have a bad hip, when we arrived we were told that our room was on the top floor, approx. 60 stairs and no lift, so this was not good, we were told that the room couldn't be... More

Been here a few times for a quick bite to eat and each time the table and menus always feel greasy and have dirt marks on. The food is reasonable we normally go for a steak and 90% of the time it's either over cooked or under cooked I don't mind half the time as will my steak however cooked... More

Visited this lovely pub with wife, mother in law and a couple of friends for a few drinks and a bite to eat after "the pub down the road" failed to hit the spot. The food was out of this world and served by some fantastic staff. If your passing and are feeling hungry this is the place to dine.

I am a big lover of food and when it comes to being served a plate of grub, I am not one who is hard to please. Unfortunately however, my recent visit to the Dukeries Lodge failed to satisfy someone as "happy go lucky" as myself. I ordered the "mixed grill" which I believe to be the Dukeries 'Daddies of... on visiting the venue for tea with family , the area was warm and relaxing .after ordering our meals and drinks which came to 50 pounds. in the centre of the table was a bucket full of free numerous sachets of sauces and vinegars etc.when all our meals arrived various people asked for barbeque sauce as there was no sachets... I stayed at Dukeries Lodge while attending a course at the nearby School of Artisan Food. I really just needed a clean, comfortable place to sleep as the course was very intensive...and I wasn't disappointed. My single room (no. 3) was clean & warm...no frills, but none needed. There were tea & coffee making facilities, a tv with Freeview and... More

I was expecting this to be cheap and not particularly nice but was pleasantly surprised. Location was perfect, the room was very nice, quiet and comfortable. The interior of the building was interesting and well decorated. Staff were friendly and the food was very good value. I would definitely stay again if visiting Sherwood Pines again.

Not the best of titles but it sums up our recent visit. My first impression of the Dukeries was of a large but not exciting first impression however we were their for the food and not the architecture, the car park was quite large so no problem with parking as plenty of spaces to chose from, the car park can... Booked this hotel whilst visiting family as my usual two venues were fully booked. I was not disappointed, the photograph on the web of the single room do not do it justice. A very pleasant room a decent shower and a very reasonable price for a solo traveller. The breakfast is hearty and I would defy anyone who does not... More
