Called after a mornings walk for a quick lunch. I ordered a shandy which tasted strange. I returned to the bar and said so. Without a word the bar staff poured a new glass with lemonade and tipped half of the original shandy into it and gave it me back. After 15 mins I returned to the bar and said... More

Travelled to Nottinghamshire for the weekend, Told by a friend an old relic had been given a new lease of life. Long story short! A beautiful, old, locally orientated pub has been chewed up and spat out leaving a mess in it's place. The food is over complicated, the service is none existent and the management look down upon everyone else.... Middle of the road, not bad food, not bad service, not exceptional. Recently redecorated the Greendale is an improvement on the old pub, staff were polite and the food was good for the price. Good selection of real ales and the service was slow but the pub was busy.

Decided to meet up with family for lunch 12/05/15, as had heard the place had been refurbished. I had booked a table for four and upon entering was shown to an area to the right and having seen the menu and prices online, it was not the decor I was expecting. There was a bottle on the table half full... More

Went for a meal last night for the first (and last) time. Greeted by a surly waitress who wasn't really interested in serving us and who didn't have the words "thank you" in her vocabulary!!! The menus were covered in dinner stains and attached to a clipboard!!! The starters (Squid) was extremely bland and served with a basic Netto seafood... More

The buildings looks great inside. The drinks selection is excellent if you like ale. We found the service very friendly but slow, even making allowances for some of the staff being new. The menu is fairly broad and viewable on their website. We found the starters really good quality especially the pigeon and mussels. For mains we had the fish... More

Just been on speck with my fella. Been awhile but we had heard it had been revamped, so decided to give it a whirl! It now has lots of lovely seating outside, perfect for soaking up the sunshine ☀ The food was absolutely divine, quick too considering it was quite busy, would definitely recommend the three times cooked chip! Overall... More

Called in for Saturday lunch, it was a little hard to find a table at two o clock so the place is popular. Party of ten served well by good staff. Worth a visit. Great selection of beers. Good choice of food. Ample car park. Nice furnishings. Goos value.

Dropped in here on the "off chance" for lunch (sunday). The carpark was full so didn't holdout much hope of getting a table as we hadn't booked, however, we were showed to a table straight away. The menu is relatively small but but has a variety of meals to suit everyone. The meal was lovely, nicely presented and very tasty.... More
