Probably the best place I stayed while doing St.Cuthbert's way. I had a lovely welcome, with tea and homemade biscuits, and an offer to dry my wet gear! The building itself is beautiful, and the room very tastefully and timelessly furnished - it felt up to date without being trendy, and was super-comfortable. A GORGEOUS breakfast was served in the... Having had to go at short notice to Scotland, we decided to break our return journey by spending a night at The Old Mill in Wooler, a B&B we had spotted earlier in the year, when we were hoping to enjoy a mini break in and around there. When making the booking by phone, I felt confident that we would... More

Can only re-iterate what previous reviewers have said - this place is terrific! We stayed for 4 nights and were both agreed on it being one of the very top B&Bs we have stayed in. The room and everything in it was of the highest quality, the breakfast equally so; and Paulette and Patrick are fantastic, friendly and helpful hosts... More

The old Mill in Wooler is a beautifull, warm and welcoming place to stay, the rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. The breakfast is very good, Paulette's "poached eggs" and "ham and egg nest" are delicious. Paulette and Patrick are very friendly and they go out of their way to make you feel at home. Wooler is situated in a... More

I have walked across England staying at bed-and-breakfasts and small hotels. This was as clean as I've ever seen and the breakfast was delicious. The service was excellent as was the packed lunch. I highly recommend it.

We stayed for 3 days and had a very relaxing break at the Old Mill in Wooler. A super base to explore one of the nicest counties in England: Northumberland. We were amazed how lovely the countryside is. This obviously rubs off onto the local people, who are so keen to make your stay there a memorable one. This was... More

One of the better B&B's we stayed in during our visit. Paulette was interested in our stories and made us feel very welcome. Her B&B is cosy and clean and she made us a wonderful breakfast. In the morning she provided us with the weather forecast and she gave us a small present. We had a wonderful stay!

This is a really great place to stay. The owners are very welcoming and nothing was to much trouble. The accommodation was comfortable and the food delicious with home made everything, including the bread! Paulette was happy to help when ever she could and we even got discount tickets to some of the local 'attractions'. Overall I would highly recommend... More

We have just stayed for two nights at The Old Mill . Cannot fault the high quality accommodation and welcome that we received from the owners. Unlike some b & b they really care about their guests and we would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for a base to explore either the national park, the coast or walking... More
