There are few bed and breakfast establishments which can excel the friendly, welcoming and highly personal service provided by Bob and Ginny at the Millyard House in Wooler where I stayed overnight from 13 to 14 October while walking the St Cuthbert’s Way. Arriving exhausted late in the afternoon after a gruelling walk across the Cheviots from Kirk Yetholm, I... More

We only stayed at Millyard House for one night but can say that it was really lovely. Bob and Ginny were excellent hosts offering tips on where to eat and local walks. The room was cosy with chocolates and sherry waiting for us, and breakfast in the conservatory was delicious. We can thoroughly recommend Millyard House to you all.

This is the second time me and my friend have visited Millyard House (this time without our husbands) and it was just as amazing as the first. Bob and Ginny make you feel so welcome and are lovely to chat to. We were greeted with delicious home made scones and a hot drink. Their home is gorgeous and extremely clean.... More

Really well located for everything in Wooler, this was the loveliest B&B we've ever stayed in. Such friendly and welcoming hosts, beautiful accommodation and great breakfast. Highly recommended - we would definitely go back.

We stayed here for one night while walking the St Cuthberts Way. Everything about the accomodation, the breakfast and the welcome we received was superb. Every little detail was perfect, and the owners were very generous throughout.

I stayed here one night on a cycling tour. Locked garage was provided for bikes. Bedroom and ensuite were spotless, bed was really comfy. Bob and Ginny were most welcoming, friendly, and interesting to talk to. Breakfast was served in the conservatory and it was like sitting in a magazine photo-shoot (in a good way). The breakfast was lovely: lots... More

Working at The Glendale Show this August Bank Holiday we stayed again at Millyard House, and as in past years it was a pleasure to arrive and be greeted with the warmest of welcomes from owners Bob and Jinny. It is a home from home and every aspect of Millyard House is to be recommended, from its location, pretty cottage... More

Once in a while you come across a B&B that sets the bar just that bit higher, that manages to achieve the perfect marriage of comfort, quality and relaxed hospitality, and make it seem effortless. Millyard House is one such place. We arrived after a reasonably strenuous tramp across the Cheviots from Yetholm. Bob and Ginny immediately made us feel... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Millyard House for 2 nights. Bob and Ginny were the perfect hosts. They are so friendly and kind and would go the extra mile to help with anything. We were walking the St Cuthbert's Way and Bob offered to drive us from Wooler to Fenwick and back again. When we arrived after a long... More

We stayed at Millyard House in early June and loved our stay, Bob and Ginny were very welcoming and really did go the extra mile to ensure that everything was above and beyond. The chocolates and milk for tea upon our return in the early hours was very much appreciated! Their garden is beautiful, the house very homely and comfortable.... More
