Just stayed here on my way up to Scotland, I've not stayed in Wooler before as I've stopped in Alnwick or Morpeth. But Wooler is further up the route to Scotland and makes a good place to stopover. The staff were very helpful at check in And it was noticeable that the hotel has been refurbished recently to a high... More

At short notice we booked a Friday night whilst travelling in the Northumberland area. No.1 Hotel & Wine Lounge is a delightful, tastefully decorated former public house managed by the very delightful and hard working Sarah and her team. We find that people make places work and Sarah single handedly made this stay for us, from the accomodating welcome, great... More

We called the hotel en route as we needed to find accommodation very quickly due to a previous booking not being to standard . Within minutes we were booked in and confirmed. On arrival Sarah gave us a great welcome . Our stay was excellent and we could not fault anything at all. We had only a small room due... More

Visited with family whilst on a long weekend. The food was very tasty with a good selection of tapas and the deserts were also nice. Service was friendly and this place is definitely worth a visit. Price was reasonable, £75 for family of 4.

Wooler wasn't really a hot destination on our Northern Road Trip but my Partner and I thought it was a good point to stop before we went further North! Have to say I would now drive purposely to stay in Wooler for a couple of nights knowing how lovely this hotel was and how lovely Wooler is. It is admittedly... More

Stayed here for our anniversary and was greeted by the most beautiful room! Very rustic and cosy, lovely wooden furniture, great bed, flat screen tv, great bathroom, all gleaming. The only thing I would say is that the tap on the bath can be a bit loud, it's only a problem because you want to have about ten baths a... More

Lovely hotel. Beautifully decorated, with lots of quirky details. Even nicer than the website pictures. Lovely comfy beds, rustic wooden furniture, great big TV, good supply teas/coffees etc on tea tray. All staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is very good, with lots of choices, and large helpings. Evening meal of Tapas in restaurant was excellent. Will return and... More
