Thank you for the review, delighted you enjoyed your lunch. Sorry about the congestion in the car park but development of Garden cottage is coming to a head so all trades are onsite at the moment. this should be coming to an end over the next few weeks. Thanks again More

The first thing that struck us - it is not just clean - the whole place sparkles. With friends, we have just spent three nights here. Our bedroom was not over large, but well decorated, with good lighting, plenty of hangers in the wardrobe, good drawer space, a small flat screen TV, & tea/coffee facilities. The bathroom was again well... More

Had a marvellous two night stay at The Pheasant Inn. A really cosy base to explore the Northumberland area and Kielder. We arrived earlier than expected and had a fantastic lunch which set the tone for the quality of the food we were served for the weekend. The rooms are great, showers powerful and the beds extremely comfortable. The evening... More

Well from a wonderful Pub serving lovely food to a waste of good money this was a strange review but I take your points seriously. Unfortunately we don't serve food all day but that is not so unusual. The quality of food served is I hope one of our strong points and portions generous enough for most. We will let... More

Just spent another fantastic night @ The Pheasant Inn. Once again all the staff were so welcoming and friendly. Robin cooks up some lovely food (my husband said the lamb was the best he has had) and the lasagne with salad including strawberries, grapes and apple is really nice too. We had a great night away in a fantastic location... More

My husband and I spent several nights here in the summer. After a long drive we were greeted by a member of staff who was very offhand and told us the pub was not open to us for another hour so we went for a drive until we were allowed back. Our room was nice although it had a large... More

Many thanks for leaving your review, I can only assume that there was a miscommunication when you arrived as new arrivals can check in from midday onwards. I certainly hope we would never knowingly tell a new guest to come back later. We close our bars from 3.00 in the afternoon and reopen at 6.00 and perhaps the member of... More

We stayed for 1 night to visit the observatory and it exceeded our expectations. It was the little things that really made it stand out - the well stocked refreshment tray in the room (not the usual 2 of everything you find in larger establishments), being offered a choice of types of wine when I asked for a generic dry... We booked for Sunday lunch for four adults and two children. The pub was warm and welcoming in atrocious weather, and we all enjoyed our lunches - four lamb, one beef and one steak and kidney pie. My grandson is lactose intolerant and the mashed potato had butter in it so they kindly took it away and replaced it with... More

Thank you so much for leaving your review, it was a really foul day last Sunday so we were delighted so many made the trip out into the wilds for lunch. With so many allergen requirements these days we are ready for most things. Hope to see you all again. More

We are really surprised at 2 previous reviews as our experience at this country inn was great. We arrived last weekend for a two night stay and we were visiting the observatory on the 2nd evening. We had a lovely meal on the first night, mine was the grilled mixed fish and my husband had the game pie. Both meals... More

Visited this place prior to a trip to the Obsevatory. Pub is charming and everything you would expect from a cosy country pub. Very welcoming with a roaring fire to keep you warm. My critisism is the food. When we visited we were the first people in at 6pm and when we tried to order there were several items on... More

You are absolutely right this is a charming, cosy, welcoming country pub. However if I am correct you visited us in February 2014, so I am a little surprised it has taken you 12 months to leave us your review. The reason I mention this is because if you are going to have a go at us regarding price and... More
