A wonderful place! The owners are warm and hospitable, without being intrusive. When I mentioned my interest in Yeavering (a 7th-8th century Anglo-Saxon royal hall), Linda greeted me a few hours later with a stack of information she had found (maps, info about the excavations, and even the proper bus schedule). Lynda made us feel very welcome as soon as we arrived. She gave us plenty information on the surrounding area and recommendations for restaurants in the town. Our room was large and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, the best on our trip. Thanks. more

The other reviews give a good idea of Caroline house. On the plus side the welcome was outstanding, the breakfast was substantial, the garden was lovely, the shower was nice and powerful and we had excellent value. On the minus side it was rather out of town. more
