I spent four nights at the St Aidan in early April, 2014, on the recommendation of friends and the many laudatory reviews here on tripadvisor. I found the reviews accurate, and I won't go into much repetition of the many fine points that commend this hotel. Simply put, John and Sue Gibson know how to run an excellent establishment, and... My wife and I had been walking the Northumberland Coast Path from Berwick. The sight of the St Aidan's Hotel in Seahouses was very welcoming. The hotel is in a great location, just a few yards from the shore and close to the Farne Islands, Holy Island and Bamburgh. The large bedroom, on an Indian theme, had a view over... More

We stayed here for three nights in April 2014. When we arrived and checked in by our host John who was pleasant and friendly. We had booked the 'India Room' which is right at the top of the hotel up two flights of stairs, so not really for anyone who has trouble with stairs. The room itself is superb beautifully... More

This is a lovely place to stay and good value. Some nice touches, binoculars to look at the view an honesty bar and chocolates in a bag in the room. We had a room with a four poster. A bit cramped but enough room for the two of us. It was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The... More

The breakfasts are fabulous... lots of fresh fruit and cereals and then the FULL ENGLISH....we were so full it lasted us all day. Hotel has great views, right on the seafront with view of the islands. We had booked a room which was classed as a luxury room. Massive queen size bed cover and dressed with tartan. Room was a little cold when we arrived and also first thing in the morning, no radiators, only small convection heater. Room was of a good... More

I had a 2 night short break at St Aidan's this week with my uncle. We knew the area but it was our first stay at this hotel. Rob's 80th birthday was fast approaching and I wanted somewhere special for us to stay, absorbing the fabulous Northumberland coast, the Farne Islands and the castles. Our wives were elsewhere so our... More
