Spent 3 nights. First 2 in the main building and the 3rd in the annexe. Room in the main building was on the top floor with stunning views towards the Farne Islands. Nice bathroom with corner bath and separate shower. Ceilings a bit low in parts of the room so if you're over 6ft, you need to learn to duck!... More

St Adains is a small hotel, on the outskirts of Seahouses, on the road out to Bamburgh. Sited right next to the sea it has wonderful views out towards Holy Isle and along to Bamburgh Castle, Ideally situated for the Northumberland Costal Trail, which we were following. The hotel itself is small and was only recently taken over by the... More

Just had three excellent days. Lovely room, lovely meals and really lovely owners, chef and staff. Would rather watch view from window than television. They only recently bought St Aidan's which had been empty for a time and so must have worked incredible hard to bring it up to a great standard. They say they have even more to do... More

With enthusiasm, flair and exceptional attention to detail, the new owners are making St Aidan's a wonderful place to stay. The welcome is warm and friendly, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the views are beautiful and the meals - breakfast and bistro - are top quality. Good fresh, local food, expertly cooked and beautifully presented. This was going to... More

Have just recently spent 5 nights at the Hotel and we were certainly not disappointed. Robin and Tegan were very professional and have obviously worked hard to build their reputation since taking over some 5 months ago. The room was excellent, with fantastic views and the Hotel was spotlessly clean. The Bistro (open Thr to Sat nights inclusive) was a... More

The ground floor annexe room we were in has yet to given the bijou treatment but everything else the owners are doing is good. Great position for visiting the Farne islands as it is an easy walk to the harbour. A friendly little hotel in a great spot with excellent sea views.

We have stayed at St Aidans before and managed to get the same room which we like for its great views across to the Farne Islands. The new owners have started a programme of updating and we were impressed with what has been done to the Dining Room and Bar areas. In common with a number of businesses in Seahouses,... More

Although I have been a regular visitor to Seahouses all my life this was the first time I had stayed. I chose St Aidan's after reading other reviews and being impressed by the website. We had room 6 , on the top floor with a stunning view up the coast to Bamburgh and Lindisfarne castles. The room has a large... More

Rob & Tegan have only recently taken over this established hotel and I have to say they are making an excellent job of it ! From the minute we arrived we were welcomed and treated with respect. We took our small dog and were told that if he didn't settle they would set up a table for breakfast in the... More
