We have just returned from 3 days at the new look St.Aidan Hotel and bistro. Loved the fire (so did our dog), and evening meal was very good. Little more than we normally would pay but it was New Years day...new owners Rob & Tegan have worked hard and we wish them all the best. Only small criticism, the choice... More

We are just back from a New Year break at St Aidan Hotel and what a lovely time we had. Our room had a stunning view of Bamburgh Castle and the wide sandy beach and our New Year's dinner was superb. The food was first class, the service even better and the atmosphere great. Credit should go to Rob and... More

We've stopped at this excellent hotel a few time before the previous owners retired, our first stay since the new owners Rob & Tegan bought the hotel, we found them both to be very friendly and helpful, they have taken a great hotel and improved it in many ways, the rooms and breakfasts were great and the new addition of... We usually spend our pre-Christmas weekend in the Lake District but decided to have a change this year, talk about a wise move(it was the weekend of the floods) but even better we booked St Aidan's. What an absolute find! We booked from the old website so the massive changes Rob and Tegan, the young new owners have made were... More

Rob & Tegan are fantastic hosts and all throughout our stay nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast they service is the best we have every had anywhere and we have booked again for next year and cannot wait. We cannot rate The St Aidan Hotel highly enough.

This B&B has undergone a massive transformation. I had stayed in previous years and the place just looks immaculate now. The rooms are great and with a view to die for. The beds are very comfortable and I couldn't have asked for a better good night sleep. The owners are really friendly and available for anything you might need during... More

We were asking a lot... Our desired accommodation had to be dog-friendly- preferably ground floor, with sea views, easy access to a sandy beach and a restaurant and bar. With the help of 'Trip Adviser,' we found the perfect place. Rob and Tegan couldn't have been more helpful or more welcoming, from the moment of our first enquiry to the... More

Northumberland is an amazing place and almost every place that you can stay has great views, minutes from the beach etc. St Aidan's certainly has all that - the sea is literally across the road, you look across the harbour at one side, Bamburgh castle and the beaches on the other and the Farne Islands in front. There are a... More

Myself and husband recently stayed here on our first trip to Northumerland. What a cracking little hotel. As I understand it there are only 8 rooms at this hotel and in some ways it is a little like a posh bed/breakfast. Although there is no manned reception the owners are readily on hand whenever needed. Check in was swift and... More
