Hans made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We stayed in Room 1 with the 'Roll top' bath, immaculate beautiful bathroom. There is fridge mini bar with very reasonably prices and this was a nice surprise to have this facility, delighted overall with the room comforts. Hans himself, is the perfect host, a true gentleman who serves up a... More

Having stayed in may B&Bs this ranks as one of the best. great location, immaculate rooms, lots of little touches that showed great attention to detail by the owner Hans. Lovely comfy bed, lots of hot water and beautiful fresh food. Would totally recommend to anyone.

Hans is a perfect host and he deserves the highest praise for the way that he runs his bed & breakfast business. Our room was spotless and included a fridge with fresh milk and filtered water. The towels were beautifully soft and the little extras like a welcoming dish of sweets and breakfast was first class. Ugiebrae House is located... More

Stayed here on recommendation and not disappointed. Stayed in room 3 which is the loft room, absolutely spotless and the bed was very comfortable. Hans was the perfect host and his cooked breakfast was second to none served in the light and airy conservatory/garden room. We will be back!

Stayed for 2 nights on our way travelling down the Northumbrian coast. It was so clean, comfy and welcoming did not want to leave. Hans is a perfect host and cooks an excellent and well presented breakfast and lots of choice. Lots of thought has gone into the presentation and for the comfort of guests. Just lovely!

Wow, what can I can, Ugiebrae House surpassed all expectations of a B&B. We stayed for just one night (perfect for cyclists who don't need more than one night!) and although we arrived late and left early, the few hours we spent there were absolutely lovely! After cycling 70-odd miles from Newcastle the sight of the free-standing bath, lovely clean... More

As all other reviews, this is the cleanest b and b I've stayed in, it was spotless. Everything worked and was well set out. The choice of breakfast was excellent and the food itself was very tasty and well presented. He even catered for us at 7am. This place is recommended and we will be staying again. It is located...
