Moira and Brian were great hosts; they've designed the rooms really thoughtfully and clearly put a lot of care into the little details. Breakfast was great too and they looked after my vegan needs really well. arrived at 4 pm tired and shown to our room but very disappointed, as the room was not the one we requested and were offered when booked. told nothing they could do as room could not be guaranteed. If we were told this at the time of booking we would definately not booked it in first place. room very small... more

Moira and Brian are excellent hosts, nothing is too much trouble. The bed was the most comfortable I've ever slept in - in fact I think it was only the smell of bacon cooking that enticed me out from under the duvet. A lovely restful location only a short drive from Alnwick Castle & Gardens. more

Upon arrival we were impressed by the warm reception and inviting atmosphere. The rooms were clean and extremely up-to-date. Not only were we provided with the "norm" of toiletries and tea/coffee facilities, but also freshly made ginger cake. What a nice touch.
