Anyone wanting to stay in Seahouses I would urge you to book this wonderful bed and breakfast. Hospitality was fabulous. Brian and Moira were very welcoming and full of information about local area. Room was amazing and the home made cake every day is a lovely touch. Breakfast was amazing and nothing was too much trouble. This has to be... More

Just spent three night with Moira and Brian and we are now home but I'm still thinking of the super breakfast! The room was very comfortable and well appointed. The cake in the room on return from a day in the fresh air was very welcome. Places to eat and the harbour in easy walking distance.

Moira and Brian are brilliant, helpful and caring hosts. Breakfasted on Fabulous Kippers, Wondrous Kedgeree, Super smoked cod and poached eggs, and full English during our 4 night stay. Fruit juices, cereal, yoghourt, toast, coffee, tea etc. all freely available to help oneself. Everything a short , few minutes walk away. Restaurants, pubs, harbour, smokehouse for Kippers to take home,... More

Not much to add. Clean, comfortable, good breakfast, just a 5-minute walk to the harbor. From there you can shop, catch a ferry to the Farne Islands and Longstone Lighthouse, or take off on the coastal path -- north or south -- for miles along the sea. Moira and Brian are helpful hosts with lots of local knowledge.

Just spent a very enjoyable weekend in Seahouses staying at the Malabar Guest House. The welcome was warm and the hospitality excellent. We had the ground floor room which has the nice bonus of a sitting area. The super king bed was very comfortable and the bathroom spacious. Fresh milk is provided in a flask when you arrive, much nicer... More

Stayed for 2 nights as a base for diving the Farne islands. Very nice comfortable and very clean rooms. Breakfast offers a good choice and it was of a very high standard. the only little thing that could be moaned at was the shower was a bit weak (really picking at straws). would certainly recommend and will certainly will use... Just returned from a wonderful 3 night stay at the Malabar guest house in Seahouses. Brian and Moira offer warm and friendly hospitality, very clean accommodation and marvellous breakfasts (of which there is much to choose from). The cake left in the room each day is an extra touch and very welcome. Wouldn't hesitate in staying at this guest house... More

Must say I agree with everything written on this site, my wife and I stayed for three nights at the beginning of Oct 2014 , the weather was a little varied to say the least....but it didn`t spoil the visit to that beautiful coastline. The guest house was one of the best we have ever stopped in.......great hosts, great breakfasts,... More

The Malabar bed and breakfast was a fantastic base for our travels around Northumberland. The rooms were very clean and well appointed. The breakfasts were tremendous and set us up for the day. There were two pieces of delicious cake left in the room each afternoon which was a very nice touch. This bnb was recommended by a friend and... More

I recently stayed at the Malabar whilst having a short walking and sightseeing holiday with a friend in Northumbria. Our hosts were exteremely friendly and gave us lots of their time helping plan our days. The room was spotless and the wet room was of a standard you would find in a boutique hotel. The breakfasts were superb and plentiful... More
