We have passed this place many times over the years and this is the first time we decided to give it a try. Nobody in at Friday lunchtime but was still invitingly warm and with views from the lounge windows are fantastic. Pleasant member of staff took our order of three types of local pork sausages on bed of mash... More

We had a wonderful astronomy weekend at the Redesdale Arms. Great clear skies (although some cloud) enough to let us see meteors, nebulae, stars & constellations with expert help & sophisticated equipment. Room was great, with a lovely comfy bed & the food was excellent.Carol and the staff are very friendly and welcoming and really made us feel at home.... More

Stayed one night on the way up to Edinburgh. Nearly missed it in the dark & rain but met with a warm welcome and lovely bar/lounge. Comfortable, clean and well fitted room (Nr 2) and bathroom. Unfortunately we had a noisy neighbour who left early otherwise a very comfortable night. Food and drink were excellent and put the 4Star in... More

My family and I dropped in here after a full day of driving and it was such a cosy and welcoming place. It had a beautiful outlook over some of the English/Scottish fields. It was so good to eat a nice meal here and the staff were very friendly. Highly recommended. I would have loved to have stayed longer.

Just spent 3 wonderful nights at the Redesdale Arms, room excellent, food great, hospitallity perfect. Carol and her partner were the perfect hosts, they even provided the requested dark sky on our last night. Only one disappointment we didn't see the ellusive red squirrel in the garden. The rooms look recently re-decorated, and the whole place is clean, light and tasteful. The reception was helpful and welcoming, and the breakfast was excellent (I always judge the quality of a cooked breakfast on its sausages!) The view from the front of the pub is really lovely.

A group of fifteen of us arrived for dinner and drinks. We were rushed into ordering as the restaurant was due to stop taking orders within 30 minutes of our arrival. Service wasn't good with a couple of meals served to the wrong people and the food was nothing special . Appears to be very much a venue that prefers... More

Just got back from a lovely two night stay while we attended a friends wedding at Woodhill. It's a lovely hotel and our room was really nice (Room 2) with a double bed and sofa and very spacious. The breakfast was really nice too. It was a good base for going to the wedding at Woodhill the taxi was £12... More

This is a very comfortable and welcoming hotel - a last out first in hotel- which sits on the A68 having spectacular views over Redesdale Moor. It is a lovely clean hotel and in the winter with the fires lit you'll not want to leave. The restaurant menu is so good that making a decision is just too difficult. Be... More
