We pre booked this venue for a celebration family meal as we were going to be staying nearby. The person I spoke to on the phone helpful and friendly. Meal was good value for money with plenty of choice for all tastes.

First of all the room was spot on. The view wasn't the greatest from room one but my colleagues stated the view was brilliant. Especially after the snow through the night. The food was really nice and the staff were all friendly. The free wifi was very good and I was able to stream movies all night with any buffering.... More

Dear David, Thank you for taking the time to review the Redesdale Arms. It's great to know you were impressed and that you liked your room, despite the view of the bare trees (they can be good for spotting wildlife during the winter) and that you enjoyed your food. We hope hope to welcome you back again. Regards Carrol More

Called here for coffee late September nothing was too much trouble. Sat outside on picnic bench and enjoyed the scenery on a warm sunny day, perfect with a scone and coffee. The place was spotless clean and staff very friendly. The menu looked really good so we will call sometime soon and try it.

My wife and I enjoyed three nights here from 5th Nov. Nice friendly place, lovely food and great service. Rooms were comfortable and well appointed. Superb location if your heading for Edinburgh or towards the coast of Northumberland. With the inn being a bit lsolated, it makes it even more attractive, warm and friendly when you return from a day... More

Stayed at Redesale Arms for two nights with friends, and ate there both evenings. Good welcome on arrival and a lovely room which was spotlessly clean and well equipped. Only minor negatives were poor water flow when running the bath and slow Wi Fi (rural location, probably unavoidable). Both the local beer and the evening meals were excellent. A wide... More

Dear Millersboy2013, Thank you for taking the time to write your review of the Redesdale Arms. We are delighted you enjoyed your stay with us, despite being disturbed by other guests, (that really was a shame because it is normally so peaceful and quiet here). The water pressure can drop when demand is high (our water comes from a borehole),... More

Warm, comfortable, spottless rooms, Excellent food and Carol and Mark couldn`t be more helpful. My wife is disabled and the hotel staff really go out of their way to accomodate and the family room, which is also adapted for disabled travellers is equipped to rthe highest standard.

Stayed here as one night on the pennine way. The rooms were warm and spotless. Yes the furniture is a little dated but the warmth of all the staff makes up for this. We ate an evening meal and was plentiful and good value We needed to leave early to make the most of the daylight and breakfast was cooked... More

Had lunch with two friends so can't speak for the rooms but the food was good, especially my hodgepodge pie - a mix of meats with a potato-slice "crust" and side of steamed vegetables which were cooked to be tender, not overdone. Fairly good cask ale to wash it down. Friendly, fast service. Clean toilets. Gorgeous view.

Me and my partner stayed here as we were going to a wedding reception near by. The room was ok, and nice and warm. I would say the staff could be a little friendlier. Dear Roger N, Thank you for your kind review. I'm delighted you enjoyed your stay and found our staff to be friendly and welcoming. You are right the nearest petrol station (and bank) is about 10 miles away, so you need to keep topped up whilst travelling rural Northumberland. Thank you for your recommendation, that’s much appreciated. Regards Carrol More
