We stayed at the cottages over New Years Eve with 2 other couples and children. The cottages are kept to a fantastic standard. Arriving late on Tuesday we walked into the cottage and lit the wood stove and instantly felt relaxed. It was such a nice touch leaving the Wine, cakes and eggs for our arrival. Tina was over that evening... More

We had an absolutely lovely week at Elishaw Farm - thank you! The weather was less than desirable however the cottage and facilities were perfect for such an occasion. Lovely cosy cottage with excellent facilities (e.g. for cooking / lots of booklets and leaflets with local information and suggested walks / board games and variety of DVDs) which made our... More

Just home from a 9 night stay in a Chicken Coop cottage. What a lovely place! We just wanted somewhere to relax and switch off, do a bit of sight seeing when we felt like it, read some books and unwind with the dog. Everything was perfect It was lovely to have a home baked cake on arrival and the... More

Perfect location for visiting Kielder forest and the observatory, dark skies are amazing even at the cottage. Take carrots and apples for feeding the pony and bread for the chickens who visited us every day. A cake welcomed us on arrival, wood for the fire and tea and coffee was also provided which was good. Will definitely be recommending to... More

We came to Otterburn for a wedding and we stayed in 'Chicken Coup Cottage' for a week, it was our first time in Northumberland. The cottage was brilliant, very comfortable and the owners had left lots of little extras for us i,e, a lovely home made cake, fresh eggs, wood for the fire and lots more. Our grandchildren came to... More

This was exactly what we needed. Myself, my husband, and my 3 year old son stayed here. We enjoyed feeding and petting the wee ponies, "Sooty" and "Sweep". And my son squealed with delight when a chicken greeted us at our door. He especially loved collecting the eggs. This is a clean, cosy place with a well-equipped kitchen with a... More

We had a lovely week at Elishaw. It is an ideal base to explore the national park and up into the Scottish Borders. The cottage is beautiful and comfortable, the homemade cake was lovely, the ponies and chickens were friendly. Looking forward to another visit.

This was our fifth stay at Elishaw & every stay has been excellent. The setting is remote and peaceful but within easy reach of the wonderful Northumberland attractions such as Keilder Water & Forest, Hadrians Wall & Lindisfarne. The accommodation is well furnished, comfortable with a wood burning stove to add to the ambience. And there is always a lovely... More

Just back from a lovely stay at Elishaw Farm Cottage. It was a total delight in every way. Spotless clean, warm, welcoming, beautifully situated, well appointed and had everything needed. We loved it and so did our dogs. Lots of nice touches - scummy cake, fresh flowers and eggs waiting for us. Highly recommend.
