I escaped here from anouther hotel across the road which I could not spend anouther night in. I only stayed here one night but I can say the room was clean and comfortable, the shower worked fine, the staff were welcoming and helpful. I felt it was reasonably priced. IF I pop back to this area again I might stay... more

We (my partner and me) were looking at the Tower as a possible wedding venue so we booked a night to check it out. The place looks so impressive from the outside, but inside! what a different story. Our room was so stuffy, it was almost mouldy. I know its an old place but seems like it hasnt been cleaned... more

Stayed at this hotel for a weekend break and would highly recommend it to anyone wishing to explore Northumberland. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome from the day we arrived till departure we were very well looked after. The food was exceptional credit to the chefs all local produce, beautiful beef from the managers... more

We have literally just returned from my daughter's wedding at the Otterburn Tower. Apart from being the most beautiful and interesting building, with well equipped comfortable rooms, the staff at the hotel made our stay there so memorable. They made us feel that we were holding the wedding in my very own castle. I realise that some people may think... more

We were very disappointed with this hotel, having looked forward so much to staying at the Otterburn Tower. The decor was shabby and had clearly seen better days. However, our main complaint was with the poor and at times rude service from the staff. The response to our letter of complaint to the owner was dismissive and he failed to reply... more

Friends of ours were due to get married on the 5th of December 2008 at The Otterburn Tower. Unfortunately they had to cancel their wedding due to unforeseen circumstances. The Otterburn Tower were made aware of this over 3 months ago. Despite this, guests who had made a room reservation at the venue are being refused their requests to get... more

we have just had a 2 night stay at Otterburn Tower Hotel and have to say its one of the friendliest hotels we have ever stayed in. Yes we agree that it could do with a bit of decorating here and there, but the staff more than make up for "the sparse decor" as stated in one review! they could... more

the good bits - the setting of this hotel is just gorgeous, set among all the rolling dales and hills, and the building is imposing and lovely to look at, with history to boot and there are some nice original features left in the building, like the fireplaces, doors and stairs. The staff were attentive and helpful and it the... more

We recently chose the Otterburn Tower Hotel as the venue for our august wedding and were not disappointed. The staff there will bend over backwards to make sure your stay is nothing but perfect, the building and surroundings are simply stunning. We saw a number of the rooms and have to say they are all fantastic and so spacious. We... more

This Hotel is amazing. I can't believe that such a beautiful hotel is here and I didn't know. The bedroom was fantastic with a seperate sitting room- and this is a standard room!. The food in the restaurant is amazing and the portions are huge. The gardens are gorgeous and the hotel just oozes character. I can't wait to come... more
