Family booked our wedding night here as a wedding present. They were impressed on their visit. Despite having our contact details and knowing there was a problem with the room well in advance we were only told on arrival at 1am that we would be spending our wedding night in the owner's teenage son's bedroom! No central heating, electric blanket... More

I spent one night in Embleton Hall and although it is in desperate need of modernisation, the current owners were so lovely and cooked us the nicest breakfast I've had for a while! The room was freezing and we were just given a small heater, however in the lounge/dining areas downstairs there were open fires blazing.

Wonderful warm welcome, comfortable lounge, and attentive staff. Food was beautiful, hot and tasty. Service excellent without being intrusive. The home grown rhubarb crumble was a delight. Thoroughly recommended.

We have just returned from a two night dbb break at Embleton Hall. an absolutely charming property, ok, a little tired in places, but the staff and food more than make up for the negatives. Trevor, the present owner, could not have been more welcoming, attentive and good humoured. If all goes to plan he will be retiring soon as... More

We stayed here for two nights, and found this lovely old hall a lovely place to chill out for a few days, Trevor and his staff can't do enough to make your stay a pleasant one. The food was very good, I had chicken liver pâté to start which was so good I had it again the following evening, main... More

After arriving at a nearby McDonald hotel, having booked a room there some months prior to attend a wedding, there had been a problem with the booking much to our dismay! We therefore ended up staying in this lovely Hall at the last minute. We had had quite a traumatic day to have driven 170 miles to be told at... More

This was my second visit. The hotel is tired and our room confimed that(as did the for sale sign at the entrance) . The TV didnt work which was annoying when paying £105 for B & B. This was blamed on the switch to digital which I thought was a weak excuse. The good points of the hotel was Trevor... More

We spent the last weekend of September at Embleton Hall in Longframlington, enjoying wholesome home cooked meals and the professional and heart-warming hospitality of Trevor and his crew. The house is a gem in itself, and the rooms are quiet and comfortable. For the Saturday, Trevor helped organize a good walk for us, and even gave us a ride to... More

Last week we spent two nights at Embleton Hall. A homely, friendly and relaxed atmosphere, where nothing was too much trouble for the proprietor or staff. The rooms were tastefully done, and the food was excellent. We would certainly return when next in the area. Thank you and well done to Trevor and all his staff

Having read some of the reviews I wasn't sure what to expect and I agree with some aspects of many of them. Yes, the hotel is tired, yes, the cleaning needs to be more thorough, but.....Trevor and his staff are wonderful, the food is excellent and the welcome given to us and our dog was fantastic. We will be returning,... More
