This is one of the best ever experiences I have had in paid accommodation. It is a working farm, complete with livestock, sheds and fields. The ambience is rural, but real; not romantic and twee. The B and B is a beautifully upgraded building, in a lovely, landscaped garden. My room was single, but would be classified as a double... More

Enid is the perfect hostess, we were made very welcome. The farm is well off the beaten track so very quiet and peaceful. The bed was comfortable, the breakfasts were all individually cooked to perfection and the evening meals were lovely. The damson gin before dinner was a real treat. We were allowed to have a look around the farm... More

We have just returned from this fabulous farm B&B. Absolutely unique location, real Northumberland welcome and hospitality. Lovely old farmhouse, comfortable beds, and fantastic cooked breakfast. Run by the lovely Nelles family on their working organic farm. We stayed in the Rose room, which was really comfortable and so quiet and peaceful. This is the place if you want to... More

So comfortable, so welcoming. A wonderful place to stay - you won't find better. Truly rural, don't rely on satnav - follow the instructions on the website and don't worry - you'll get there eventually and it's worth it! Zoe so kind, hospitable and caring. We had Mary room (photo at top of Trip Adviser page) and it is excellent... More

Delightful sophistication in the middle of a working farm, so all the comforts you could wish for, but with the novelty of new-born lambs in plastic jackets and calves learning how to stand up, all around. So far off the beaten track you wonder how you found it, but beautiful when you get there, and surrounded by tranquillity. It's easy... More

Family visiting with their 6 month old daughter on her first trip away from home and everything was perfect. Lovely home made biscuits on arrival, fridge and kettle in room and nothing too much trouble. Breakfast was amazing and venue is totally beautiful. Enid & Zoe lovely and planning next visit thanks so much x x x. X

We often stay in the Longframlington area due to having friends close by and on this occasion our friend recommended us to try Thistleyhaugh. We were not disappointed. Such a charming, friendly and beautiful place where Enid couldn't do enough do make us feel welcome. The room was fabulous and brought back memories from my grandparents house. It was fantastic.... A lovely place where we have stayed several times; Enid Neness is a marvellous hostess and Zoe produces excellent dinners and breakfast. Prices are very reasonable and the standard is five star in quality and service. Strongly recommend for a brief stop or a longer visit to Northumberland in a charming farmhouse with beautiful furniture and complete peace at night... More

We had a lovely one night stay on this Northumberland farm on Sun 21st July. We had a longer touring day than expected so arrived at about 7pm. We hadn't booked an evening meal but were absolutely delighted when our very kind, welcoming and thoughtful hostess offered for us to join another couple who had booked their meal earlier. It... My husband and I stayed for only one night but it was one of the most memorable experiences of our three week holiday. This lovely working farm is located deep in the heart of the countryside and while it was a bit of a challenge to find, the instructions from our hosts were clear. From the time of our arrival...
