My wife and I were visiting my parents in Yorkshire. I now live in Vancouver, British Columbia and visit once a year. I wanted to see more of the countryside and booked a night at the Ship Inn. We had a wonderful experience from the moment we arrived with a very warm welcome and the nice touch of reserved parking... more

The Ship Inn provides a clean, friendly, tranqil base with which to explore a stunning and beautiful island. We very much enjoyed our stay there and apart from very good food, cosy bar and comfortable, quiet rooms, one thing stands out and that was the level of Service provided by genial "mine hosts" Andrew and Janice and their multi cultural Staff... more

Stayed here for 1 night as a bit of a romantic event. Had visited Lindisfarne many times and always liked the idea of staying and being totally cut off from the rest of civilisation. Checked the Trip Advisor website, and the Ship Inn was highly recommended, although most reviews were from 2008? Room was good, pub and decor in the... more

Stayed at the Ship Inn for two days from the 28/12/08. Checked the tides so arrived ok. Parking available close by at five pound a day but the guy who owned the place keeps bollards outside so guests can park free outside the inn. The rooms were fine, very clean, well appointed, tv/dvd tea and coffee and perfect for some... more

My boyfriend took me here for my birthday as he knew I'd always wanted to go to Holy Island. It certainly didn't disappoint. When we drove across the causeway we parked in the public car park and walked down to the Inn. We were greeted very warmly and taken up to our room, which was fabulous. The room was a... more

We were a group of 7 Canadians, whom stayed at the Ship Inn on The Holy Island of Lindisfarne. After completeing the St. Cuthberts' Way Hike we wanted to spend a few days on Lindisfarne. Andrew and Janice were excellent hosts, we had our own reserved table in the lounge for meals, which were cooked to perfection, the selection of... more

We stayed for a couple of nights in room 2 in a spotlessly clean room with a soft comfy bed. The staff were lovely, as were most of the clients too and even the usual moaners who could never be satisfied in a thousand years were served in a cheerful and friendly manner. The food was plentiful at a very... more
