For many years had wanted to be on Holy Island when the tide was in and the majority of visitors had left before the causeway closed exit from island. As a result booked room 3 for my anniversary night. View of castle and harbour from bedroom window is to die for! Large tasteful room with comfy couch placed to enjoy a... More

We stayed at the Manor House the night before setting off on walking St.Oswald's Way. It was a pleasant hotel if a it old fashioned. We had a nice evening meal and got a decent breakfast to see us on our way. The only thing with staying on Holy Island that you need to be careful of is the tides.... More

Stooped off here for lunch whilst visiting the island Had a table in the bar and in the window. It was a busy place and yet the service was still good. Everything was nice and clean and the food was good.

We ate here one evening - they only do food 6-8pm best to book. Be warned the portions are HUGE!!!. We had crab salad each and shared a fish and chips main. This was plenty. Crab was lots of crunchy things like cucumber/celery with crab and mayo sauce. Fish had nice light batter and chips were good as was mushy... More

We got married at Newton Hall on Sunday 3rd August, and then spent the following day/evening at the Manor House Hotel. We had Room 3 (The Masters Room), it was very spacious, clean, comfortable, and had the very best view of any hotel room on the island - to the front an amazing view over to the castle, and to... We originally planned to book a standard room, but upgraded to one of the view rooms when offered a good deal by the hotel as there were no standard rooms available for our dates. The room, while old fashioned, was clean, spacious, very quiet with an excellent view across the southern coast of Island. The bathroom was very modern and... More

Stayed the Manor House 4 years ago so was so looking forward to my return visit. The hotel is comfortable, the room was lovley with a clean bathroom. But this time the staff were less charming, in more of a hurry and appeared more stressed. It was almost as if the visitor had to be put up with rather than... More

We visited this hotel while cycling the Coast and Castles cycle route. Arriving on Lindesfarne was exciting as we had to get there before the tide came in. It is such a beautiful place, and the hotel is literally next door to the Priory, looking out towards the castle. We arrived very hungry, but could only get crisps in the... More

Did not stay at this hotel but I came over with family for lunch. We had the crab sandwich and chips. Lovely, fresh crab was used for the sandwiches and the soup of the day was nice. Best of all were the chips though, really recommend them.

We didn't stay here but used the restaurant. We sat in the sunshine overlooking Lindisfarne castle and the priory - yummy crab sandwiches and delicious ale, just what we needed after a busy day! Very quick service and good prices.
