Very comfortable stay and beautiful afternoon tea/dinner. Would like to mention just a few things. 1. I would expect the shower to have been a little more sophisticated with a tiled rather than stone floor. 2. Better communication, eg a prominent notice in the bedroom saying that certain breakfast dishes should be ordered the night before rather than relying on... More

We had an absolutely wonderful stay with attentive hosts and great food The evening meals are worth every penny though not included in the booking price. The rooms are delightful We had a courtyard room overlooking the garden. Our room was spotlessly clean with an en-suite and powerful shower/bath the living room was welcoming and had a nicely stocked honesty... More

What a shame that Toby and Leona's 10 years as hosts are coming to an end. The meals Leona provides are superb and the rooms at this country guesthouse are well equipped and really comfortable. We've stayed there 5 times and always had a wonderful time. The premises are on a main road between Wooler and Coldstream but as many... More

Stayed in a Courtyard Room for 1 night - we were extremely pleased with our room which was really a 'suite' with lounge area with TV, bedroom with very large double bed and separate ensuite bathroom. Everywhere was very clean and pleasantly decorated although it was unusual to see the large TV instead of the Flat screen TV's which are... More

Stayed in the main house for two nights. En-suite room was clean and thoughfully decorated with ceiling beams adding charm to the room only let down by the poorly fitting (handmade) room door that had a 1/4 inch gap down one side!. The bathroom was clean and nicely furnished and the provision of a fridge in the room supplied with... More

This B&B is in a quiet, rural spot in the heart of Northumberland and Border country. It is particularly handy for Ford and Etal castles and the sites relating to the Battle of Flodden. It is run by a very friendly and welcoming couple who go out of their way to make you feel welcome aand at home. The attention... More

I stayed here with some family for 2 nights in June 2012. It is, undoubtedly, the best B+B I have ever been to. The food is world class; the kedgeree is delicious. They are quite flexible, as well. The rooms are beautiful; wonderful, big, spacious rooms. The twins are more like small doubles. The only problem was that the fan... More

Must say I don`t usually do reviews but due to the help of putting us up at short notice I feel compelled to write. We had a great stay and fully enjoyed a restored coach house with exposed beams. our room was a 2 room conversion which I shared with my 2 sons it had ample room and a fridge... More
