The two of us called in at 7.00 pm on Monday evening seeking an impromptu evening meal. Hotel appeared very quiet, but we were politely told the chef would be "reluctant" to provide us with a meal. On checking, the barman confirmed this was the case and the explanation given was the chef had bought a certain amount of ingredients... More

We had a 2 night stay as part of a tour of North East England in early June.We were greeted by the ebullient Kevin, hotel manager, and shown to our exellent, spacious, comfortable and well equipped room. The hotel itself is a lovely golden stone,Georgian coaching Inn,which has been sympathetically restored, and updated. Our evening meals were very good indeed, tasty and well presented, with a fairly extensive, but quite... We also stayed for 3 nights with the car club for dinner bed & breakfast, exploring the beautiful surrounding (and more distant) countryside on the Scottish Borders. The staff were always really helpful and served the party at each meal with professionalism and a smile. They were always busy but would still stop for a chat and help with any... More

We stayed here in April 2013 but I've only just got round to sending in a review so apologies. We had three nights here and the weather was atrocious but every member of staff could not do enough for you. We ate in the Bistro two of the three nights and really should eaten there for all three. A lovely... More

This a very well appointed country hotel and suits all those who want a peaceful break in beautiful rolling countryside. The rooms are spacious, well appointed and very comfortable. Food is excellent and there is a very friendly atmosphere throughout with a staff team who work really well together. The outside garden is well kept and is a good place... More

We had a different dinner menu each night & the food was excellent, there was also a good choice of breakfast options combining buffet style and ordered cooked fresh menu. The staff were extremely hard working pleasant & helpful, my... More

We stayed recently at the Tilmouth Park hotel and visited the Collingwood Arms hotel for a meal. It was absolutely faultless, with an imaginative menu and food that was presented beautifully. The hake on a crab and prawn risotto was superb and the wine to go with the meal was lovely. We had a tour of the rooms in the... More

My wife and I were booked to stay at this hotel for a special weekend treat. Sadly last week we were forced to cancel as a result of very sad circumstances. When we notified the hotel they said we would be charged and immediately debited my card. We asked if we could reschedule the stay to which they said no... More

On the last weekend in May, we used the Collingwood Hotel for our daughter's wedding. To say that the event was a success, would be a complete understatement! Led by Kevin, their friendly and charismatic GM, the staff pulled out all the stops to make this an event to remember. All of our guests raved about the excellent service, very... More

The Collingwood Arms is a well located ,well decorated, well equipped hotel for anyone fishing the Tweed . It has a warm welcome and a super Bar and Bistro . It is on a busy corner and you can (feel and) hear the traffic on the road at night but the comfortable surroundings more than make up for that .
