I stayed at this guest house last weekend. I found the whole stay from start to finish a very easy and relaxing experience. From the moment I entered, Steve and Lynn (the owners) were helpful kind and sincere. The room was first class, very clean, tidy and very comfortable, The breakfast was excellent, and what a choice! All in all,... More

We spent one night at Alannah House. Our hosts, Lynn and Steve, were very warm, welcoming and friendly. Lynn is extremely organized and it shows. The rooms are beautiful, spotless and furnished with everything you could possibly need. The breakfast was delicious and served in a lovely breakfast room overlooking their beautiful garden. This was one of our more delightful... More

We were warmly greeted on our arrival by Lynn who explained the facilities at Alannah House together with local facilities for eating out on a Sunday evening. Our bedroom was a large room which was exceptionally clean together with a spotless on-suite containing toiletries and towels . The bedroom had TV and free WiFi and had good central heating. It... I only stayed at the Alannah Guest House for 1 night while working in Berwick but I really couldn't have asked for any more from this charming place. The room I was in was very well furnished with fantastic amenities (fridge, kettle etc...) and a very comfy bed. The hosts were welcoming and very helpful and friendly and the breakfast... More

Stayed at Alannah House for 1 night recently. We were greeted by Steve who was very friendly. He showed us to our room which was immaculate,it was as if it was cleaned by someone who was fanatical about cleanliness. You couldn't fault anything. The bed was very comfortable and the room was large. Breakfast in the morning was served by... More

Thank you so much for your lovely comments. Lynn and I know that for guests visiting an establishment for the first time they can be a little nervous about their decision, is it clean? are the hosts welcoming? what's the food like? can they relax? etc etc. Being aware of these concerns we really try to make our guests feel... Where to start? The Alannah sets the bar by which all other guest house will be judged for a very long time! Hosts Lynn & Steve couldn't have been more gracious and accomodating. Between them they made all the breakfasts, selection brilliant! I had smoked Craster kippers one day, smoked salmon another. Our room was large, bright and beautifully furnished.... More

My parents and I booked the family room and were delighted with the comfortable, spacious room. Steve and Lynne are excellent hosts and made us feel very welcome. We stayed for the one night and if we return we would definately stay here probably for a longer time.

This was the last stop on our walk along the Northumberland coastal path. There's no better place to arrive tired, hot and sweaty. The room was cool and comfortable, the bathroom luxurious, but it was the kindly welcome that stays in the memory. Breakfast one of the best. Full marks.

My friend and I have been cycling the Northumberland Coast, and rolled up to Allanah House last Wednesday night without a booking. Unfortunately they only had a double-room, which we accepted most local B&Bs were advertising ‘no vacancies’. However, by the time Steve had helped us with our bikes/luggage and shown us around, to our delight, Lynne had cleared out... More

Only stayed one night but would have loved to have stayed more. Only 2 of us but were given the family room. This includes a separate adjoining room which would be ideal for a couple or family with an older child. Lynn and Steve were very welcoming and breakfast was lovely. Nice garden to sit in and ideal for walking... More

Thanks for reviewing us. Our family room is large and has a double and two single beds, we can also supply a cot if necessary.
