My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Old Vicarage. Everything was first rate, from the locally sourced food (especially the smoked fish) to the lovely Body shop toiletries in the room. We had the very spacious twin room looking on to the graveyard and it was worth every penny. Maurice and Ruth were lovely and helpful and... More

The Vicarage has been finished off to a very high standard, rooms were extremely comfortable. Maurice and Ruth made us feel welcome and they were very helpful with local knowledge. It is only a short walk into the town over the scenic old bridge. The breakfasts were exceptionally good and there was very good off road parking. We will definitely... More

Welcoming, comfortable and friendly with a great choice of super breakfasts featuring excellent local produce. Quiet location just a few minutes' walk across the old bridge to Berwick centre. Easy access on to coastal routes to explore south or (crossing the Scottish border!) north. Good advice and tips from the owners to help get the best from trips out. Highly... More

On one memorable day we went on a birdwatching trip with Maurice as guide and driver, his knowledge of birds and their habitat is to be both... More

Stayed at the Old Vicarage over Easter 2010. The Old Vicarage is situated across one of the bridges a short walk from the town centre ( approx 5 mins walk). The Vicarage is a beautiful building both internally and externally and Ruth and Morrice are wonderful hosts. Very friendly and knowledgable. Fantastic breakfast to set us up for the day.... More
