My friend and I have just returned from a short visit to the North East of England and without doubt our stay in the Old Vicarage was one of the highlights. We shared room 4. The room was large and in addition to the normal features like twin beds, ensuite, hairdryer etc it had a lovely comfortable sofa and along... more

Lovely hotel with awesome rooms, tastefully decorated with great attention to detail. Superb service that includes free use of designer his/her colognes. Very good breakfast with a large selection of yummy foods. My grandfather was a pastor but never had such a nice manse. The Old Vicarage gets our strongest endorsement! more

The Old Vicarage is a beautiful building and the suite of rooms we stayed in was just lovely (Room number 8 - and I gather it's not even the most luxurious). The "thoughtful extras" promised with the booking were certainly delivered, but even without them the rooms were a real pleasure to stay in; spacious, light and very comfortable. The... more

The Old Vicarage is a beautifully appointed historic home built in 1888 updated with all the modern day conveniences. We found this B&B in the DK Publishing Guide for Great Britain. My husband and I enjoyed a week in this most comfortable and affordable bed and breakfast. We have stayed in many B&BS throughout the United States and Europe and... more
