I found this hotel and read the trip advisor reviews and wasn't at all disappointed. The price is great, the welcome is very warm and friendly, the meal was fantastic and we were really treated like very special guests in their own home. Our room was small, there really wasn't much room around the bed but you didn't really need... more

We have recently enjoyed a very comfortable three night stay at the Queens Head Hotel. The hotel is in the town centre and right next to the old town walls and historic bits. Our room was well-furnished including a bathroom with corner bath and separate shower (room 5). Food was very good - we ate there every night - and... more

Berwick is full of B&B's, but this hotel is exceptional and made a difference to our trip. My husband and I sent an initial e-mail about rooms and received a prompt reply about rooms and rates. Although, we were late in checking in, the welcome was warm. We ate dinner at the restaurant where the food was very delicious. Our... more

We didn't actually stay here, but we ate here. The food and the service was excellent. We really struggled to find somewhere decent to eat dinner and really count our blessings we found this place. This pub is totally mis-placed in such a down-troden town. more

As a frequent traveller I have to spend time in various standards of accommodation and when I arrived late in Berwick which is an excellent town to visit for pleasure or business I was a bit unsure by the 2 star AA rating outside. This was the only worry, when entering I was greeted by a quaint clean and smart... more

I arrived at this small hotel just as desserts were being served in the bar and restaurant, and as the owner/manager is also the head waiter, it was a bad time. Nonetheless, and notwithstanding the plates of apple crumble he held in each hand, he was reasonably attentive to this newly arrived guest. Check-in appears to be done at the... more

The web site is excellent and does this excellent little hotel justice, what you see is what you get. We recieved a warm welcome in the cosy little bar, the rooms are clean comfortable and well equiped with lots of little extra touches. Garry the owner made us most welcome and the food was freshly cooked well presented and delicious.... more

We enjoyed every aspect of our stay at the Queens Head Hotel. It looked quite unexciting from the outside (though I could see from wall brackets that it must be festooned in flowers in the summertime), but inside it was cosy and full of character. Garry and his mother were very welcoming, and the other members of their staff were... more
