Stayed in The Queen's Head with a few pals on our annual golf weekend. Excellent location down by the water in Berwick, near the centre of town but far enough away from any major nightlife for that not be be a problem. Free overnight parking outside the hotel but just through the ancient town gate next to the hotel, there's... more

The owner was very welcoming when we arrived and made sure that we were looked after in the bar as it was very busy. The location is very central and while there is no parking, there is plenty of overnight on-street parking right outside the hotel. more

From our initial arrival, we couldn't have asked for a more accomodating hotel. The service was outstanding and every member of staff had such a pleasing and helpful manner. We stayed three nights and had varied breakfasts each morning, and all were superb - the local kippers were especially delightful! The main menu is a little expensive, but for the... more

It is a nice place to stay. Quite a walk from the station but handy for buses to Alnwick, Holy Island, etc. We spent three night here. Breakfast was good although the quality and amount depended on who was cooking! Room was comfy. We did understand that it was an old building and there wouldn't be modern plumbing but the... more

Nice room in quiet hotel close to everything with good wifi, breakfast kipper and welcoming smile, but why was it so annoying to the proprietor when I preferred to sit at a table for breakfast separate from the only other diners – the one I chose was ‘set for the evening’ – and why should that matter if I have... more

The Queen’s Head is a beautiful old building with several attractively appointed b&b style hotel rooms (ours had private facilities, although that may be on request - not sure), a bar for hotel guests at Reception level and a elegant restaurant serving top notch food. The host (with advance notice) even catered for my partner’s celiac diet which we thought... more

£85 seems a lot for a B&B. Berwick seems to be expensive and the Queens Head is. The owner was very nice and helpful but the drinks and food seemed very expensive £6.25 for a White wine and lemonade and a pint of beer? Still you don't have to eat there and we didn't The room was not as clean... more

As group of 12 we meet up once a year and have stayed in York, Ipswich and Chester to name a few. We normally stay in 3/4 star Best Western Hotels, However The Queens Head Berwick with 2 stars beats them. We have stayed there 2 years running and have booked 1 year in advance to go back because we... more

Stayed here for four days in June. Excellent small hotel with a superb restaurant. Staff very friendly and helpful, even though I struggled with the lovely accent at times. more
