We have recently returned from a weekend break at Haggerston Castle it has got to be one of the best holiday parks i have ever stayed on. All the staff was very friendly and efficient. The caravan we stayed in was a standard caravan as it was a £9.50 holiday from the sun so it was very basic but we... more

Haggerston Castle is as described in previous reviews, caravans crammed into a site which is designed to part you from your hard earned money . Pot luck with the caravan you are allocated, we were lucky, ours was clean ( save for a few cups which needed washing again ) and well equipped. The bedrooms were cramped, but there was... more

Short version - If you want to use the site to visit this stunning area my tips are:- Book a private caravan not a Haven one, particularly if you can get one next to the lake away from the resort centre; Use it as a base and don't try to use Haven facilities unless you have very young children and... more

Well, the holiday didn't get off to the best start, as others have said, you arrive and there's no signs as to where to check in and only a small car park. Got the keys and drove to our caravan, had to persuade my partner not to pack up and leave straight away! We had booked a prestige caravan but... more

I have just returned from a 4 night midweek stay at Haggerston Castle with my 4 year old, my mother, my sister and her children aged 1 and 3. We stayed in a Standard Plus 3 bedroomed caravan and had a dog with us and that was the only type available to pet owners. I had read the reviews on... more

Having read so many negative reviews, I was very unsure what to expect. Everybodys take on a holiday is different and this proves it. Armed with lots of cleaning products we set off, we were pleasently surprised caravan was very clean, as caravans go. 3 bedroom and for us a great location Tower Lawn, near the indoor complex. The Site... more

Being a seasoned hotel traveller, after reading negative reviews I was very apprehensive about our weekend break (my husband and 2 year old son) at Haggerston Castle. We were however very surprised at the excellent location, size of the accommodation, entertainment and facilities. The check-in process was a little impersonal and stressful however after this things got better and we... more

Finally got round to writing up a review. Please take seriously and bear in mind, whilst you read this, that we have a wheelchair-bound disabled child ! We paid £348 for a 4 day during the Easter Holidays. Arrived at 4pm to a full car park, no signage or directions as to where you "book in", had to park hundreds... more
