Travelling with our dog, this seemed to be a good location and dog friendly. Overall this b & b is tired, the owners are pleasant, food average , our room was damp and had no opening window. Location is good for those travelling around.

Just returned from a 5 night break at this wonderful guest house. Everything was perfect, the room clean and comfortable, and the views were magnificent from Room 1! Wow. Christine and Tony were excellent hosts, nothing was too much trouble, gave us a bit of info on local places to visit and beaches that were close by. The breakfasts were... More

The greeting was a little terse when we arrived 40 mins early, but we were shown to our room, which was clean and tidy. We went out to explore and went back with a 'take away', which Margeret warmed up for us in the microwave and supplied plates etc. When we mentioned that the room was chilly, her reply was... More

We stayed for 3 nights here so we could visit our son and family who were staying at Haggerston Castle. We have stayed here a few times but not for many years. This is a great place to stop if you are travelling further down the East coast as it is on the main road by passing Berwick upon Tweed.... More

Hosts very friendly and welcoming. Dog friendly with a pub restaurant just up the road which serves excellent meals, which also allows dogs into the small bar area..well worth a visit if you have a dog! Room not the best we have stayed in but quite adequate for 2 nights(room 1) The shower did not have any power so it... More

We stayed at Meadow Hill Guest House for the first week of Easter. We were unable to book into our first choice B&B and found this one on the Internet at short notice - how fortunate we were!! Christine and Tony are perfect hosts - really friendly, welcoming and helpful - all the guests were even presented with creme eggs... More

Great convenient location near Alnwick, Bamburgh, Holy Island. Comfortable room with a fabulous view, spotlessly clean, excellent 'full English' breakfast, friendly, helpful owners. My wife and I had a brilliant time!

Very easy to access from the highway. Breakfast was ok (a lot of oil in the fry up), clean rooms and a lounge that we had access to in the evenings. Hosts were friendly and offered us use of wineglasses in the evening which was nice to have and offered good tips for the birdwatching ride to the Farnes. View... More

Just off the A1 in an ideal location for exploring the North East and over the border into southern Scotland, couldn't be better. Homely, clean and comfortable guest house, with an excellent 'full English' breakfast which sets you up for the day. The owners are both friendly and obliging. If you are on a budget there is a McDonalds and... More
