We have stayed at this hotel many times in the past as it is close to holy island but at less cost than stopping on the island. A good idea is to check to make sure the crossing times are ok for your needs before making a booking. Since we last visited the rooms have been freshly decorated and new... More

We ate here during our stay in a nearby cottage. The food was good but service was dreadfully slow- in the end we complained and were given a bottle of wine. Later in the week we intended to return as it was so close and we thought that as the first time was bank holiday weekend maybe that was why... More

My daughter and I have stayed at the Lindisfarne Inn twice now and really enjoyed both visits. It is part of a pub set up but the rooms are far enough away not to be disturbed by any noise at night from patrons of the pub. The meals are first class, extensive menu and loads of choice for kids too.... More

We called in here for Sunday lunch after a day trip to Holy Island and did quickly check the reviews before going which on the whole seemed quite good but we couldn't have been more disappointed. There were 4 of us, 2 had starters which were average at best. Then after waiting half an our after the plates had been... More

My partner and I called in here for a meal during our short break and the food was amazing! It was fresh and a good sized portion. Well worth the prices charged for the meals. I am a big dessert fan, so the sticky toffee pudding met my standard - Delicious! The pub was lovely and warm and we were... More

We found the hotel comfortable with friendly staff and good food. If you need a base for seeing Holy Island, Bamburgh Castle, Alnwick and Berwick on Tweed. It is also good for walking breaks. Ideally placed on the A1 it is easy to find. The breakfast is a good start to the day and there is a reasonable menu if... More

My husband and I had dinner at the Lindisfarne on Saturday evening. The food was OK but the price of it wasn't! We paid something like £53 for the two of us for a mediocre meal! We both had a starter and a main course and shared the sundae. I had a soda and lime and my husband had a... More

Thank you for the review - it must have been good food as you have given us four stars!!! We actually feel that two courses - which you don't actually specify what you ate - plus a sharing Sundae and drinks for just over £50 is good value. We serve home made food cooked to order - non of your... More
