Pub states 'dog friendly' so we thought great we can sit in away from the cold wind and get something to eat, and feed my little one but on walking in and attempting to sit down at one of the many empty tables (there was only one taken in whole place!) We were informed that there was a 'dog friendly'... More

We're so sorry about that. We have to comply to such strict food hygiene requirements we can only allow dogs into certain sections of the pub. It was probably so full because sadly there aren;t many places in the locality where dogs are permitted inside pubs and inns - we are one of the few places. We do hope that... More

Perhaps we expected more considering this was not a cheap place to eat. Little touches about how the food was served, potato skins (some still uncooked) presented nicely, prawn crackers (soggy, greasy) served in a little chip frying basket, was overrode by the "Wetherspoons" style collection of sauce sachets in the middle of the table. Friends sharing platter was the... More

What a shame to hear and read. We are sorry you did not enjoy your meal with us. Did you tell a member of our team? We quality check each and every meal that leaves our kitchen. We will always do our best to resolve any issues in the rare event that anything is less than perfect with your meal.... More

Very tasty food and excellent service, was provided by a professional, personable team of staff who appeared as polite to each other as they did to us. This made our visit an extremely pleasant experience. Definitely a place I would recommend to all.

We had booked a three night stay at this inn but, on arrival, requested another room because of kitchen fan noise. The manageress was very obliging and we moved rooms without any bother. Any room from 7-14 is absolutely fine - no noise and not right beside the smoker area. Our room was perfectly clean and tidy and the shower... More

Thank you for leaving such a detailed response and for your feedback. Not sure about a stone's throw from the causeway as, like you say we are two miles, which is a very short drive in the car but not a stone's throw - we're not sure where that is stated! As with WiFi, because we are not able to... More

Stayed here for one night in August 2015 at the end of a week long holiday in Scotland and found that we had definitely "saved the best for last". From the warm welcome we received on arrival through to the smooth and efficient check out, the staff were extremely friendly, helpful and courteous. We stayed here two years ago and... More

This inn is on the A1 where the only road to Holy Island turns off, so is well situated for visitors to the island. As we were passing and looking for somewhere to stay for the night and it was already 7.00.pm we pulled off and inquired about a room for the night. We were offered a twin at 99.00.GBP... More

What a mean review which we take umbrage at on several counts. We ask all those customers who go outside the inn to smoke to be considerate and mindful of guests. Your comments about the road noise - you could see when you pulled into our lovely inn that we are adjacent to the A1. The double glazing and sheltered... More

We are very sorry to hear you did not enjoy your visit to us and for your wait. We have been incredibly busy at peak times and on occasion that has caused a delay in our food service, as all of our meals are cooked freshly to order. We hope you will return to enjoy the high standards of food... More

We have stopped at the Lindisfarne Inn on six occasions and have always enjoyed ourselves . It is in a fabulous location for the surrounding places of interest , Holy Island , Anwick and Berwick to name a few , the rooms have a massive bed , settee and a shower to die for ( they are a converted stable... Stopped for a meal after a day on Lindisfarne. The eateries on Lindisfarne all served food from 6 onwards but the Inn served food all day. Ideally situated at the end of the road to Lindisfarne on the side of the A1 it was perfect to feed to family before travelling back. Reasonable range of food, childrens menus, friendly staff.... That's great to read - delighted we were a haven for you and your family. Thank you for highlighting that we are open for food all day - we are one of the very few places in the locality that does this - useful especially for those with young families. We really hope to welcome you back again soon. More

Says it all, really. We arrived and were greeted by a very friendly lady who freed up a reserved table for us due to the party not being due to arrive yet. After much deliberation over food choice, our order was placed and arrived very promptly. Our meals were enjoyed across the board, and they were particularly accomodating to our... More
