The last stop on our St Cuthbert's Way walk before walking over to Lindisfarne. Beautiful house, lovely garden, very spacious and comfortable room - pity the same couldn't be said about the bed which was too firm (and we like firm!) and a standard double - a bit of a come down after all the spacious and comfy beds elsewhere... My wife and I stayed here during our trek along St. Cuthbert's Way, the 7th hotel or B&B in 7 nights. It was a very pleasant stay. The house is located very close to the trail for the trek, so convenient for walkers. It is not near any restaurants, but to our surprise and pleasure, the hostess contacted a pub... More

Aidanfield is a beautiful house set in a very well tended garden. It was so spotless and ordered that my first thought was panic that we might leave some of the grime that clings to walkers after a few days. But Mavis made us most welcome, clearly enjoying her travellers. Breakfast was excellent. There's no local pub for evening meals... More

We stayed here one night after hiking from Bedford to Fenwick. Our room was large clean and very comfortable, luxurious. Mavis gave us a warm welcome and reserved a table for us at a restaurant in the next village. She even arranged transport for us which was a bonus as we are walking and have no car. The guest house... More

Mavis & Gerald are the perfect hosts for a B&B. we were received in a very friendly way, got our very big rooms with a spacious ensuite, had a lovely breakfast and the best packed lunch of our trip (very healthy, not too much snacks). Gerald brought us to the pub for our dinner and also picked us up. Had... More

A great experience to be in this guest house in Fenwick, and such friendly owners! They took us up and down to the pub in Beal. Great hospitality! Beautiful rooms, lovely breakfast. Views from the rooms were stunning!

You will not find a better place or nicer people anywhere in England. House spotless and hosts go beyond what I would expect with lifts to and from pub and a breakfast to die for Keep up the good work Mavis and Gerald.

This is arguably the best B&B of my entire week walking St. Cuthbert's way. Mavis and Gerald are wonderful hosts while the home is modern and spacious. She cleaned wet boots and Gerald provided shuttles to evening restaurants. If you are planning your SCW walk and want to linger one more day before getting to Lindisfarne, I highly recommend a... Aidanfield is an excellent place to stay. It is beautifully furnished, has large bedrooms, lounge/breakfast room. Mavis made us very welcome and provided a very good breakfast before our departure. I can thoroughly recommend this B and B. Everything is first class.
