You will not find a better place or nicer people anywhere in England. House spotless and hosts go beyond what I would expect with lifts to and from pub and a breakfast to die for Keep up the good work Mavis and Gerald.

This is arguably the best B&B of my entire week walking St. Cuthbert's way. Mavis and Gerald are wonderful hosts while the home is modern and spacious. She cleaned wet boots and Gerald provided shuttles to evening restaurants. If you are planning your SCW walk and want to linger one more day before getting to Lindisfarne, I highly recommend a... Aidanfield is an excellent place to stay. It is beautifully furnished, has large bedrooms, lounge/breakfast room. Mavis made us very welcome and provided a very good breakfast before our departure. I can thoroughly recommend this B and B. Everything is first class.

I have stayed at Aidenfield regualry over the past 4 years - one visit made me a regular returner! The rooms are spacious, tastefully decorated and with all amenities. The breakfasts have always been excellent - good food and plnety of it. Mavis and Gerald are always welcoming and generous. The views are excellent and the walk to the pub... More

My and I recently stayed at the Aidanfield Guest House during a short break. With no real agenda in mind Mavis and Gerald made recommendations of places to see and places to eat, all of which were most enjoyable Our room was beautiful, so clean, fresh and with all the facilities one would expect The breakfast each morning was served... I stayed at Aidanfield Guest House while hiking St Cuthbert's Way. Everything about the stay was great - the warm welcomes, the spacious bedroom and very comfy guest sitting room, the offer to dry some sodden waterproof clothes and damp boots, the car transport to Lindisfarne Inn for dinner and collection from the inn for the return trip. Well done... More

I recently walked the Northumberland Coastal path with a friend.Beforehand I checked all the accommodation and was more than satisfied with the reviews on Aidenfield. Indeed I anticipated that it would be one of the best bed and breakfast establishments en route.Sadly we were very disappointed. Our welcome from Mavis felt luke warm ,no less so from Gerald. Our tour company... More

We wanted a central point to explore Northumberland & chose this B&B from the internet. We stayed for 3 nights and Mavis & Gerald the owners made us feel very welcome, our room overlooked the front of the house and was one of the largest and cleanest bedrooms we have ever stayed in. The en suite bathroom was also of... More

We can only echo what other people have said about Aidanfield, where we stopped for a night on our tour of the Northumberland Coastal path. Perfect in every way. Many thanks to Mavis and Gerald for all their (extremely successful) efforts to make us feel at home - just sorry we couldn't stay longer.

We were walking St. Cuthberts Way and were tired and dirty when we arrived. Hosts Mavis and Gerald made our 1 nght stay here most enjoyable. They do everything they can to make you feel welcome. The bedrooms and en suite bathrooms were spacious, very comfortable and immaculate. Breakfast too was excellent. We had our own spacious lounge where we... More
