We can only echo what others have said about the Old Vicarage. The quality of B and Bs in Northumberland is in our experience superb, but this was one of the most outstanding. We were on a walking tour of the Northumberland coast and felt quite guilty (if not for long) about the luxurious accommodation and food offered here. Just... More

We were walking St Cuthbert's Way in mid November 11 and stayed at a number of bed and breakfast places on our five day journey and all were excellent but this was the best of all. The Old Vicarage offered a superb choice of breakfast menu served by Annette and our rooms were spotlessly clean and charmingly decorated. Belford is... More

Very homely & friendly hosts Annette & Keith made our 4nt. stay special. We enjoyed the very good choice of breakfast menu, which was delicious. We found good accessability to surrounding area by local bus service, if like ourselves you want to forget the car for a few days. Henry the cat is a character & always welcoming. The bluebell pub... More

Tucked away but easily reached from the A1, within easy reach for car users of the Farne Islands, Holy Island, Alnwick. Berwick. Old vicarage, thick walls, single glazed, full of antique furniture and pictures. The double ("garden") room has a sofa so we were spoilt for choice with the dedicated guest lounge as well. Cosy dining room, and as others... More

Friendly, warm, and very welcoming, this is a very convenient location for easy travel to many spots of interest. The breakfasts and room provisions are excellent. Taller guests just need to remember to avoid the low beam when going upstairs! More

Beautiful home and top class service from the owners, Annette and Keith. Wonderful breakfasts set us up for a good day's walking. Henry the cat was a welcoming character, too. More

My wife and I stayed here for three nights. We never go abroad, but frequently visit different places in the UK, mainly for short walking breaks. The Old Vicrage was a perfect base; a good bed and breakfast, and well-situated for Berwick-upon-Tweed and the Borders, and the coast - Bamburgh and the quiet areas of north Northumberland, e.g. Etal. Keith... More

This is an excellent B&B with a good food selection for breakfast. We stayed in the front double room which has the normal facilities one associates with a good B&B, including fresh milk in a small refrigerator. It includes a Freeview flat screen TV (for if the weather is not quite so good) and an interesting selection of books in... More

Excellent place to spend nights away from home as from the moment you get there you feel at home. Annette and Keith really made us feel welcome even though we got delayed in traffic and didn't arrive until about 10pm on a Friday night! The room and vicarage were very well kept - and no noise from the church bells... More

This is a small but fabulous B and B, extremely well placed for you to reach the many places of interest in Northumberland. It is run by a lovely lady who is chatty yet not intrusive. She gave us great tips about where to eat and how to get to places, and was well informed about local attractions. The whole... More
