Just back from a golfing trip to Northumberland. The Market Cross Guest House in Belford is the best guest house I have stayed in. A lovely historic building containing warm hospitality. A room equipped with every conceivable device for a comfortable stay. Complimentary mead and liquor always available outside the room. Would never normally feel the need to leave a review for a hotel/B&B but this is a different kettle of fish altogether! Not much to say really other than we stayed in the Green Room which is the basic room but you can hardly call it basic as the abundance of tea/coffee/biscuits, dressing gowns and super comfy bed are gorgeous!... more
