We were a group of 6 adults and 1 child and got a table on a Sunday evening with no problems. Service was good but the food was fairly average. There was no cause for us to complain, it was just average and could have been better if they cared a bit more about the standard and appearance of the... More

This is an old and charming building spoilt because it is so tatty and badly presented. The fact that the building is old is no excuse for the terrible standard of decoration in the bedroom we stayed in. I think that whoever owns/runs this probably thinks it is ok, but really, it isn't. However it depends what your expectations are... More

We stopped at this lovely old hotel for a couple of nights whilst visiting Lindisfarne (The Holy Island) which is close by. The hotel has been selectively adapted to have a touch of more modern facilities whilst retaining its historic feel of a coaching inn. The staff were all very friendly and the family room was well equipped with Freeview... More

We turned up, a group of 12, with no notice at 1.30pm one Monday lunchtime. The staff were very accommodating in finding us enough room to sit together and we all had an excellent lunch. The chips were great, the gravy and beef in the steak pie delicious. A great job and 12 very satisfied customers.

Needing a break we took up a Groupon offer for this hotel in Belford. It was to be our base for excursions to Ford & Etal which we had wanted to visit for some time. What an excellent choice we made. Our room was spacious and nicely decorated, oddly the taps in the ensuite were reversed! Our fist night was... More

This is a lovely old building with superb gardens in a quiet and picturesque Northumbrian village. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room we had was a good size and well equipped. It had a view down the main street with lovely countryside behind. Spacious bathroom with both bath and shower. This is not a chain hotel and all... More

Went to restaurant for a family meal on a Friday night which was steak night. The meal itself was ok, nothing special, and that it wasn't worth how much we paid. The majority of staff were lovely, friendly and helpful, however, one waitress slammed our meals down onto the table. When she was asked if we could have the pepper... More

We stayed for 2 nights in the Blue Bell Hotel in Belford , It is an old hotel and has character creaky floorboards and ivy growing up the outside walls . the rooms are basic and very clean with comfy beds. Dinner in the hotel was very nice I had soup then steak and ale pie which I enjoyed .... More

We bought a living social deal & stayed here for two nights, we were allocated room 4 & it was basic but clean, only thing I didn't like was the bathroom door didn't shut properly! There was plenty of tea, coffee & biscuits in the room. I wasn't mad about the food but I think it was what I ordered,... More

Yes, we arrived on a Sunday afternoon and the room was, shall we say basic, but the bed was large and clean. We ate in the restaurant and the food was ok, but the staff were fantastic. All friendly and welcoming, especially Caroline. I would certainly go back. For what we paid it was excellent value for money in a... More
