Visited Before to look at the museum in the village, we then wanted a bite to eat. The Bluebell hotel was near so we called in. The staff were very welcoming and the menu was extensive so we ordered. The food came very quickly and looked very appetising. We thoroughly enjoyed our choices. All the staff were very friendly and... More

We found the Blue Bell through Livingsocial Set in a quaint village near to Bamburgh Castle and Alnwick Castle both well worth a visit. Berwick upon Tweed is the nearest town and the coastal route is a lovely run as well as the surrounding countryside where we saw our second lot of lambs The room no 29 was a lovely... More

Great midweek break. A 2 night bed and breakfast break in an old English hotel. Room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was great with a range from fruit, cereal and a full English. Dining room at night had a good menu and was very reasonable. Bar was open which also did meals. Great location for visiting the many castles... More

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights bed and breakfast. Room is very comfortable, large king size bed. Bathroom with bath and shower over the bath. Free toiletries. Breakfast was cereal, full breakfast including vege option, toast and tea or coffee. There is a bar which is open all day where you can get bar meals. Restaurant open... More

At the price, albeit as a late booking, it was tremendous value. Decor perhaps a little dated but clean & with a very welcoming staff. Breakfast was ample & dinner in the bar more than enough & of very good quality. There should be more of these hotels rather than the clinical chains.

We stayed for two nights with a Wowcher deal and it was fabulous value for money. The hotel is a little tired, but actually we loved the quirkiness and it is also dog friendly which is a big bonus. Dinner was superb, excellent quality produce and cooked perfectly - we don't know how they do it for the money! Also,... More

We love to support these decent old Hotels, they may not be glitzy 21st Century hotels but they try hard, need travellers to stay and keep them for the future. Rooms were decent and clean, not the most modern amenities, but give me this any day instead of a Premier Inn! Food good and locals in the bar too, proper... More

We were not expecting the Hilton but with a 3 star rating we were expecting a little better ... It is a very old building but it could be better ! We could have seen past the dated decor if it had been clean .. Our bathroom was horrid ... Loose toilet seat, cello taped shower hose and mouldey shower... More
