We choose this accommodation after reading the reviews on TripAdvisor and were not disappointed. Owning a dog we had to find a bed and breakfast that would accept our Cocker Spaniel. We could not have asked for a better place. The rooms were large, clean with a comfortable bed. Whilst we had room 3 that was large it was in... More

We booked up to stay overnight as we were attending a wedding at Newton Hall. We were greeted by a member of staff in the bar and then taken to our room. We were informed of breakfast time and various other bits of information. The room very spacious, it has a sort of 'living area' that you can close off... More

We stayed here en-route walking the Northumbrian Coastal Path which in itself is beautiful. The Craster Arms proved a lovely venue to stay at. Rooms were really lovely, great pub food and very friendly. We had a dog with us and were made very welcome. Had a good atmosphere, great Cod and chips!!!

We met with friends for a catch up and something to eat. The black sheep bitter was a very good pint as was the bottle of Merlot we had with our meal. There is a good choice including daily specials. Three of us went for the Thai green curry which was excellent while the other had the beef and ale... More

Amazingly hard working staff, and all done with a smile for the customers. We arrived on a really busy sunny Saturday afternoon, and although the place was packed, nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean and very comfortable, and we got a great nights sleep. I will be staying again and bringing the dog next time. A great... More

We came on a short break and the pub was recommended. We weren't disappointed. Good beer, delicious rhubarb gin and beautiful food. After seeing others having the massive battered cod, we couldn't resist. It was the best fish we'd ever eaten! I can't wait to return next year for more. Lovely food. Sunny beer garden. Friendly staff. Brilliant! Thank you... More

Service was poor, badly organised food was extreme disappointing the fish was so greasy. Had to repeatedly ask for our drinks. At the end of the evening they even managed to get the bill wrong. Will not recommed this place to anyone

Got a surprise when we arrived this time the rooms had been given a makeover. Lovely new curtains and matching throws and cushions on the bed. New all in one coffee, tea and cup tray which incorporates the kettle base and kettle keeps everything nice and tidy. The seating area is comfortable with a sofa and table and chairs and... More

Lovely beer garden, and pub was not to bad atmosphere wise, beer tasted like the lines were overdue for a good clean, (cloudy beer) and two days later were no better. Ordered some sandwiches off the blackboard and whilst these were not cheap at £8 they were fresh and tasty, place seemed to be a bit understaffed.
