A bold statement to make, but they served the best pub fish and chips I've ever tasted! My wife and daughter both enjoyed meals, and finally the Black Sheep beer was great. Thoroughly recommended. Small village, but busy, tells you everything.

We had been walking from seahouses to beadnell, and fancied calling somewhere for coffee and homemade cake. There isn't anywhere we could find apart from the craster arms, it looked lovely, fab beer garden and hanging baskets. We couldn't see cakes although they may sell them so just had latte. Not a chatty bar man, latte really strong, and hubby... More

Myself, my husband and our two dogs stayed for a short break and realised it wasn't long enough and wished we had booked for longer. All of the staff in particular Connor were so friendly and helpful nothing was to much trouble even when busy. The room (No.1) was large and airy and breakfast in our room at no extra... More

This is out third visit to the area and had heard before about the exellent reputation of The Craster Arms.A 20% off voucher in our B&B made us decide to give it a try and we booked a table for 6pm, good job we did as not much later the place was packed.I was disappointed that The Craster was a... Called in for dinner as we are staying on the same road so walked down on Bank Holiday Monday to sample the wares. There is a large, pleasant beer garden outside where lots of families and dogs were enjoying the sunshine. We were shown to a table in a dull back room. The table was sticky and needed a good... We visited on both Saturday and Sunday over the August Bank holiday. We did not book on Saturday as we were disorganised but the very helpful staff found us a table with only 15 minutes wait. We were knocked out by the food which was generous in portion size but excellent quality too. I had the fish cake to start... More

Visited at August bank holiday and unsurprisingly, the place was very, very busy. Fortunately, we had booked a table in advance. The area by the bar was rather chaotic with people ordering drinks, looking for their tables and staff entering and leaving the kitchen. We were soon shown to our table and found the menu had meals to suit both... More

We visited a few times last week as we were staying in the village and the options were rather limited! However, we were not disappointed. We ate in the garden a few times and luckily the weather held fine. We also have a dog, but there is a dog area in doors. All our meals were great. I saw someone... More

On our first visit to the Craster Arms, we left disappointed having spent almost ten minutes to establish that there were no tables available. Following the crowd, we returned several days later for early evening dinner (5.30pm) and managed to secure a table in the beer garden. The menu is traditional "pub" favourites, but does every meal have to be... More

Called in at the much acclaimed Craster Arms. Place was like a zoo im afraid. Bar staff were very uninterested , pub interior had kitchen mist blowing through it carrying kitchen smells throughout the establishment and the beer garden was a riot of poorly behaved children and smokers disgarding their tab ends willy nilly.....does anyone really need this?.... i certainly...
