Excellent decor in the room...immaculate condition... Good room service... Dinner was tasty and imaginative...the main dining room can be a little noisey...and the service could be sharper...but still good...very good grouse and really loved the sea... More

Friendly, helpful staff and a comfortable, well equipped room. We ate in the restaurant in the evening, the food and service were both outstanding. The only suggestion is to provide biscuits with the complimentary tea and coffee in the room. I have come to expect these as standard, especially in this price range. Otherwise, top marks. Well done to all... More

My husband and I called for an evening meal, we hadn't booked however the helpful friendly staff speedily found us a table in the restaurant. Great food, and great service. In fact so good we booked for tomorrow night before we left.😃

Step Back in time to this adorable & historic Hotel & Resaurant buried deep in the County Durham countryside. Tall people beware, the doorways & alcoves in this place are not made for Big people. Having said that, the Hotel & Resaurant is BIG on everything else. Step through the from door to enter an establishment that is BIG on... More

The lock on room number 7 simply doesn't work unless you know the 'magic trick'. It took 3 separate staff to jiggle around with it on my arrival and I was wished good luck getting in later that evening after a few drinks celebrating a family occasion (great). Later that evening, as expected, I had no chance of making the... More

Dear Sir, I have been asked to respond courteously to your review regarding your stay with us. My employer has informed me of all circumstances surrounding the events that occured on the evening in question and I do believe your review is rather one sided. From what I understand, you were rather intoxicated on the evening in question and my... More

A spur of the moment decision took us into the Wynding Inn. A warm welcome from an engaging efficient team started out visit off on the right note. We enjoyed prawn and crayfish club sandwiches (really good!) washed along with local Alnwick beer (Alnwick Longstone). Only one disappointment - came back to meet some friends later in the early evening... More

The hotel restaurant, bar and tea room all provide excellent service and food. The rooms are clean and spacious and value for money. Hotel staff were very friendly and the service given in the restaurant on a busy Saturday evening was unobtrusive and very good. A full English breakfast was most welcome and very tasty and set us up for... More

beautiful modern hotel next to bamburgh castle. So clean. Food was fabulous although bacon in the morning was left in oven too long as dry otherwise 5 star quality. I love Bamburgh and its beach. I would definitely book this hotel again.

Stayed at this wonderful hostelry for 3 nights just to get away from it all in March and that is just what we did . We felt relaxed the moment we lit the wood burning stove in our 2floor suite. How lovely to languish in the roll top bath upstairs with the gentle aroma of wood drifting up The food... More

I, a lady travelling alone, spent 1 night at The Lord Crewe. The single room was comfortable and clean and had everything I needed. The location was ideally situated and my room overlooked the Castle. I had cheese and biscuits in the bar/dining area for my supper which were excellent and very good value for money. The breakfast was very... More
