We were rather dissapointed with our stay at Budle Hall given all the wonderful reviews we had read. First of all, the place is difficult to find because of poor signage. Upon arriving (at the time we had previously informed the owners) we spent 5 minutes standing outside ringing the doorbell in vain for someone to come and let us... more

What a wonderful place. I was treated to a couple of nights in Budle Hall for my birthday and it was a real treat. If you want a place with a great atmosphere, plenty of character and friendly hosts then Budle Hall is for you. The room was lovely, with a big comfy bed and nicely decorated. The hosts were... more

Had another (our fifth or sixth) fantastic time at Budle Hall. If you're looking for a unique place to stay, by the coast, with wonderful hosts and great food, then we strongly recommend Budle Hall. It is a mile or so outside Bamburgh and has a great location (you can see Budle Bay from a number of rooms). It's country... more

I have stayed at Budle Hall twice this year. Firstly with my 8 year old daughter and my Mother and secondly with my Mother and two sisters. I stayed in the twin room and the suite, and was delighted with both of them. Everyone at Budle is very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast was lovely. I... more

A wonderful place where you are really made welcome into a family home. The breakfast is lovely using the finest local ingredients and freshest free range eggs laid by their own hens. The dinner was outstanding, again using the finest ingredients, made and served with care and passion in the dining room lit beautifully in candlelight. A fantastic location with... more

We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay here, and didn't have any of the problems experienced by the recent single negative review. The entire house is packed with charming period features, our room was clean, VERY spacious and nicely decorated with a stunning view across the countryside. Location is good, very near to Bamburgh which seemed to offer plenty of... more

Having read the review posted by Jenkine on 28 Jul 2009 I was worried that a fantastic week would end badly at Budle, it didnt, Budle was great. Fortunately Budle proved to be fantastic. We were welcomed by the owners who ushered us in to the hall, which doubles as the entrance to a splendid B&B and the family home.... more

After reading the reviews, my partner and I were very excited about this place and couldnt wait to visit. But unfortunatley the best B&B in the universe was a little over the top, in fact very over the top. We pulled up at the entrance and remarked what a lovely venue and grounds the place had, but when we opened... more

Stayed again at this lovely old house. The owners are friendly and helpful as ever and the breakfast would shame many 5* hotels for quality. The thick walls mean the wireless internet [free] didn't really work in the room we had but that's hardly a big deal. Getting evening meals can be a bit of a problem - the Ship... more
