Booked this hotel after speaking with reception and agreeing a double with view overlooking fields and declined the offer of the double overlooking the conservatory. On checking in was given my room and it was a double overllooking the conservatory .Went back to reception and was moved to a superior room which had a four poster bed in which was... More

This coast is full of history with the castles and people who lived here like Grace Darling. The people are so friendly and the little local shops are great. I do recommend the butcher if you like sausage rolls or pies for a picnic. The hotel is delightful , good food, nice staff and very clean. I cannot agree with... More

We are local and held our wedding reception here two years ago. We went back on Sunday to celebrate our anniversary and were not disappointed. On arrival in the restaurant we were greeted by the MD Chris who was attentive to our needs throughout the meal. We had three courses of delicious food which was served at well spaced intervals... We had originally set out for a long weekend in the Lakes but a disastrous experience in the hotel over there forced an unexpected but very necessary return home Once sorted we set off once again an were lucky enough to get booked in at this delightful place at short notice ideally located for trips to many places of interest... After visiting this place a few times to eat ,and most recently in June, we decided to return for our food, it was the first day of our break away and it wasn't a good start. The man behind the bar with long grey hair in a ponytail, needs to learn some customer service skills and get an attitude transplant!... More

The hotel could do with a makeover but I have no complaints over the staff or location. The hotel has free parking which is a massive bonus. The location is perfect with around a 5 minute walk to the castle and beach. Our room was nice and had everything we expected in it. Don't be put off by other reviews.

Ate here last week after staying in Bamburgh for three nights. We decided to eat here as we had done before. The food at best was average. I had fish and chips with mushy peas. Mushy pea more like. About a table spoonful of them. The guy behind the bar was not interested at all and extremely unhelpful. He looked... More

The location was fantastic. The amazing Bamburgh castle and beach was just around the corner. Room was lovely, as was breakfast. We also had an evening meal which was gorgeous. I do find £120 for one night expensive though. Thoroughly enjoyed our time in Bamburgh.

We have stayed and eaten here before and I was pleased to be dining here again. We had pre dinner drinks at the comfortable bar and then went into the restaurant. The food here is great. I ordered cod loin served with a seafood paella, which was delicious. A good choice of wines and an locally sourced cheeseboard finished the... More

Stayed for three nights on dinner bed and breakfast tariff. Opted for a smaller room this time, had room 18. Comfortable bed and essentials. Very pleasant staff. Very busy in restaurant/ bar. Clean and tidy. Free wifi. Only advice to hotel- ensure consistency with breakfasts- some mornings very full plate, other days, not so full, but still enough to eat.... More
