Brilliant camp site, we are just back from a 3 night stay here with our 2yr old son. The site is big and caters for campers & caravans All the toilets & showers were very clean and well maintained which helped a great deal with a wee one and a wife who was not keen on camping before we went.... We spent a week in a 2 bed static caravan booking direct through the park website. Caravan was well equiped and clean and almost new. The site was very quiet at night and well equipped for kids with numerous play areas and open spaces. The splash pool was great for kids and was well used even when weather was not... More

We are novice campervanners and this is the first site we stayed at. Overall we found the site very nice, staff at the camping reception nice and helpful. The facilities, shower and toilets are great. Having 2 kids, we used the family showers which are separate to the rest of the showers. There was plenty room to take a child... More

This was our second visit to waren mill. Last year we visited as two couples, this year was our family, 2 adults and 2 children and our couple friend. We were in tents. The Durham and Darlington fire service were there doing their annual trip with the cadets. The kids loved it! The firemen included us in some of the... More

We stayed for a week in a 3 bedroom static caravan. The campsite has fantastic views and is very well landscaped so each part seems tucked away. The playground facilities and splash pool were great for the kids and there are nice walks/nature trails around the site. Quibbles which stop me giving a 5 were: - a long wait for... More

A lovely camping trip with friends. Our 6 year old and their puppy. Satnav took us to a campsite at Budle Bay, when we arrived there the staff were rude and after an altercation, we realised we were in the wrong place!when we arrived at Meadowheads, we couldn't have been more relieved! We were welcomed with a beautiful site with... More

Our first ever camping trip and we loved it! Staff very friendly and helpful, toilet and shower blocks immaculate and the way the site is set out, you are never to far away from them. No noise policy after 11pm works a treat, peaceful and quiet. Outdoor pool was fab. Restaurant food ok. Only criticism would be that cafe/bar/restaurant closes... More

stayed here with the family in a static van about 7 years ago and came back this week just for a one night stay in one of the wooden huts (they call them wig-wams apparently). This is a nice, clean, friendly site with a small kids pool, club house and shop. With the wigwams you are getting a long row... More

Nice large site with grass pitches. Plenty of space. Decent areas for kids to play. Even and outdoor pool!! Showers and toilets clean and tidy. But: For a family site there were campers allowed to play loud music until 11pm. There was an indoor games room but many of the games were broken but still took the kids money much... More

Just back from a 2 night stay in a Wigwam. Firstly, we are NOT campers! But as we had the dog, a child and wanted a last minute weekend away we didn't have much choice. What a surprise finding such a gem! A well run site, friendly and efficient staff, clean surroundings and great facilities make this a great choice... More
