Alnwick Lodge- Eclectic and eccentric. Booked last minute to stop at the Alnwick Lodge, owners were very accommodating with our dates and made allowances to enable us to bring our two dogs for which we are very grateful. Location wise the Lodge is located next to the A1 a couple of miles south of Alnwick a great location for exploring... More

We had an overnight stay at this unique B and B. On driving into the lodge it looked like a builders yard. Once through into the courtyard things looked different. A welcoming wood burning fire welcomed us at reception. The sleeping accommodation was comfortable. Lovely white linen and towels. Breakfast excellent.Staff very friendly including you French waitress. Great antique gallery... More

We have just returned from staying at the Alnwick Lodge! What a wonderful place! The service was out of this world! It was like home from home. The open fire was beautiful in the eve! The lovely owner couldn't do enough to make sure we had a comfortable stay! Highly recommended.

We have just returned from this b and b and it was pretty disappointing. The pictures on the website aren't a true reflection of the place at all. The room we had had no window or view also had an unpleasant oder to it. The furniture was a mish mash of old worn out second hand stuff there was no... More

All was quiet, considering that it was just off the A1.The hosts make you so welcome and will advise on fab.walks around this beautiful ,historical county of Northumberland. Though the lodge is a B&B they will make you an evening meal on request and with fresh vegies from their garden ,it is a real treat . Definitely ,a place to stay,... More

About a mile south of Alnwick on the A1. Has a chair on it's roof (really!) Seems to do antiques and various other things like salvage. Rooms are all off a central courtyard. If you are looking for one of those new boutique style b&b's with wet rooms and loads of cushions then this is not it. However if you... More

If you're fed up with chain hotels with no character then this is the place to stay. The rooms are quirky but comfortable. The owners are friendly and helpful and happy to give recommendations for places to eat or visit. Thought it may have been noisy as it's next to tha A1 but this wasn't a problem. The shared tables... Stayed there this weekend, fab room, fab hospitality, fab breakfast. Stunning views with lots of nooks and crannies to explore. Would recommend The Cook and Barker for evening meal as only a few miles away, you need to pre-book for the restaurant but the bar area has always somewhere to sit and is a cosy friendly atmosphere.

We stayed here on our way South and on our return North. Great little find. Accepted our pet dog, hence our booking. We had two different rooms, both lovely and extremely comfy. Wonderful breakfast and excellent hosts. Would definitely recommend. Our only concern was the rather sharp entrance, which is directly off the A1!!

Stayed here for a wedding at Alnwick Tree house. Great price £72 inc breakfast. The whole place is cool. Lovely surroundings, the settings are cool & I saw some outdoor cabins. Rooms are ample & there's free Wifi. I didn't make breakfast but I heard it was ace. Oh & buttons the cat kept me company.
